Bandai will release a 30th anniversary set for Mobile New Century Gundam X under its FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE brand. The set includes the Gundam DX and G-Falcon, which can combine, plus toy-original weapons. Pre-orders open August 18, 2026 on Premium Bandai, with shipping planned for January 2027.
BANDAI SPIRITS began selling the no-loser lottery Ichiban Kuji KINGDOM HEARTS -25th Anniversary- on August 15 at 790 yen per draw. Prizes include a Sora statue, a blanket, desktop figures of King Mickey, Donald Duck, and Goofy, art dishes, hand towels, rubber charms, and keyblade metal charms. The Last One prize is a Riku statue, the first Riku figure in Ichiban Kuji. A Double Chance Campaign offers 50 Riku statues by lottery.
Bandai's Premium Bandai store is selling the RG 1/144 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (Keroro Spec), a collaboration gunpla with a color scheme inspired by Keroro Gunsou. The kit costs 4,180 yen including tax and ships in October 2026. It includes a full-color package illustrated by Mine Yoshizaki and an original marking sticker sheet.
Twin Engine and Bandai launched Bibibi Comic, a new manga platform offering 33 titles at launch. Readers can use free tickets earned through missions and access one free chapter every 23 hours. The platform is part of a joint initiative covering original manga, anime adaptations, and licensed merchandise.
Bandai Namco Filmworks will stream the anime Mobile Police Patlabor REBOOT on its official YouTube channel for 24 hours starting at 9 PM on August 11. The short film, directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura and produced by Studio Khara, will also be available on U-NEXT from noon on August 14.
Bandai Namco Filmworks will run a special video, "UNICORN GUNDAM Statue - BEYOND POSSIBILITY -", at the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue in Odaiba from August 22 to August 31, the statue's final day of display. The 10-day finale event also includes related exhibitions, campaigns, and a scheduled lineup of nightly projections.
Bandai Spirits is reissuing the S.H.Figuarts action figure of Vyke, the Finger Maiden's Fiend from Elden Ring. The figure stands about 160mm tall, includes Vyke's War Spear, frenzied flame effects, and interchangeable hands. Pre-orders open August 3, 2026, with release scheduled for February 2027 at 11,000 yen.
Bandai Spirits is releasing two Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex figures. The S.H.Figuarts Motoko Kusanagi and ROBOT魂 Tachikoma open for preorder at general retailers on August 3, 2026. Both figures ship in January 2027. The Tachikoma's rear cockpit hatch opens to seat the separately sold Motoko figure.
Bandai Namco Pictures will stream all 413 episodes of the Battle Spirits anime series nonstop on YouTube from August 8 at 9 p.m. through around August 15. The live-only broadcast, with no archive, covers the franchise from Shounen Toppa Bashin to the latest web series Mirage, ahead of the fall premiere of Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Sora.
Bandai's trading card game app BANDAI TCG+ will introduce identity verification using My Number cards for entry to some events in Japan, starting around September. The system uses the external MOALA account service, reading the card's IC chip via smartphone. Bandai says it will not collect or store users' My Number data.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a major update to the arcade game THE IDOLM@STER TOURS, launching the new series Second Stage on August 6, 2026. The update adds Tour Mode, a new gameplay mode focused on touring with an idol, plus the game's first original song, a new UR card rarity, and over 90 newly drawn cards.
Bandai will release the capsule toy Pac-Man Mejirushi Accessory Continue in the second week of August at 300 yen per play. The lineup includes 12 types of mark accessories based on the Pac-Man series, with characters like Pac-Man, Blinky, and Pinky available in both Round and Dot versions.
Bandai Namco Experience announced that Nyanja Town, the cat interaction facility inside the indoor theme park NAMJATOWN, will close on September 30. Operations end with the contract expiration, and the cats will move to P2 Pet World Torias Kuyama Store in Fukuoka Prefecture, managed by P2 and Associates.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on August 5 that it will exhibit at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe. The company's main booth in Hall 5 will feature playable demos of several upcoming titles, including the latest entry in the Ace Combat series, ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE, which makes its first appearance at a domestic game event. Also on offer are demos for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, scheduled for release within 2027, and the smartphone game BLEACH Mirrors High, which includes new characters designed by Tite Kubo. The demo for ACE COMBAT 8 requires a numbered ticket distributed at the booth on public days, September 19 to 21. Additional exhibits include ONE PIECE: Ocean's Delicious Restaurant, a simulation game where players manage a sea restaurant, and Tales of Eternia Remastered, which has a reservation campaign for original goods. The Family Game Park at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall will host demos for Once Upon a Katamari and Tamagotchi's Petit Petit Omisecchi Omachido~sama! Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. New merchandise for several titles will be sold in advance at the ASOBI STORE satellite location in Hall 11.
