Bandai's Tamagotchi business in 2026 runs on the 30th anniversary. The franchise has a ring-shaped device billed as the world's smallest wearable Tamagotchi, at 28mm with 30 characters and a February 2027 ship window. There is a gashapon aurora repaint of the UFO Swing line, a bag collaboration with Maison de FLEUR, and a festival in Harajuku and Shibuya. The festival runs from November 7 to December 6, staged around a stone monument found during Tokyo Toy Show venue construction.

Tamagotchi Paradise supplies most of the tie-in goods. Banpresto released a crane game coin case in August. An Ichiban Kuji lottery launched July 25 with an alarm clock, a blanket-in-cushion, and a UFO light. Amazon Japan's toys new arrivals ranking for July 14 put Tamagotchi Paradise White Glacier and Orange Tropics at second and third, behind Toy Story 5 merchandise. Bandai Spirits added Mametchi and Kuchipatchi to its mofamofy flocked figure line, with reservations from July 1 and a December 2026 release.

Outside merchandise, ABEMA ran a marathon of the first Tamagotchi! anime series in its Heisei Girls' Anime Special in August. Asami Yaguchi, who voiced Kuchipatchi across four Tamagotchi anime entries over six years, died on September 26, 2026 at 47. The stories do not give a cause of death in the agency's own announcement.
