Bandai Spirits' S.H.MonsterArts line is releasing a figure of Evangelion Unit-01 'G' Awakened Form from the Godzilla vs. Evangelion collaboration. Pre-orders start July 10, 2026, at the Tamashii Web Shop for 17,600 yen, with shipment in December 2026. The figure features new molds, Godzilla-inspired dorsal fins and tail, and a radioactive heat ray effect part.

Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures announced on Friday that Damu Amato and Shirabii's novel series Heir to a Monstermancer is receiving a television anime adaptation. The announcement included a teaser visual and the main cast and staff. Manaka Iwami voices Leen, Chiaki Kobayashi voices Hakura, and Akio Ōtsuka voices Ao; all three reprise their roles from a voice drama released with the first novel volume in 2024. Chihiro Kumano directs at Project No.9, with Satoru Sugizawa handling series scripts and Akane Kasasagi designing the characters. The series won the grand prize in the 2nd Drecom Media Awards. Amato originally posted the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2016 to 2024. J-Novel Club publishes the novels in English. A manga adaptation by Yū Satō will launch on Drecom's Drecomi+ manga website in September. Drecom will publish the third novel volume on July 10. A promotional webtoon adaptation was produced by MITA, Gudan, and Red Seven.
Aniplex revealed a new visual and announced that the 'Wazamonogatari: Karen Ogre' episode of the MONOGATARI Series: OFF & MONSTER Season anime will debut in winter 2026. Akiyuki Simbo returns as chief director, Midori Yoshizawa directs at SHAFT. The episode continues the franchise's Off & Monster Season, which began streaming in July 2024 on ABEMA and Crunchyroll.

Kadokawa announced on Wednesday a television anime adaptation of Hidenori Yamaji's manga *Soara and the House of Monsters*, with a 2027 premiere window. The announcement came alongside an ultra teaser promotional video, an ultra teaser visual, and the reveal of the main cast and staff. Ikumi Hasegawa voices Soara, a girl raised to fight monsters who finds herself out of work when peace is declared. Ayumu Murase voices Kirik, a dwarf architect who builds homes for monsters. Takaharu Ozaki, known for *BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-* and *Goblin Slayer*, directs the series at FelixFilm. Ayumu Hisao handles series scripts, Tomoko Iwasa designs the characters, and Hinako Tsubakiyama composes the music. The manga launched on Shogakukan's Sunday Webry website in November 2021 and has seven compiled volumes, with the seventh releasing in Japan on August 10. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English edition. Yamaji also drew a commemorative illustration for the announcement.
MIXI announced a strategic partnership with video generation AI company Runway. MIXI already uses Runway's AI to produce Monster Strike videos, cutting a 21-day process to about 3 days, and to create corporate brand movies, visual proposals, and in-app effects. Chinese studio JOTOYO showed a playable demo of its upcoming game MONSTER FANTASY at the Bilibili First Look event in Shanghai. The game combines hardcore hunting action with life simulation elements, drawing inspiration from Monster Hunter and Animal Crossing. Players choose from four classes-Warrior, Ranger, Ronin, and Mage-each with distinct mechanics. The Mage, for example, combines four elemental orbs to cast spells, while the Ronin uses an iai stance and can enter a demon mode. The demo featured three monster types, with a final version planned to include around 50. The in-game time syncs with real time, and monsters' behavior changes with time of day and weather. Players can delegate hunting and gathering to NPC villagers, who have their own daily routines and favorability systems. The village can host up to 10 NPCs out of several dozen types. The game is single-player with multiplayer features. Development began in earnest about four months before the demo, though the team spent years on preparation. Music is by Claude Ruelle, who worked on Monster Hunter Rise. The producer, Fei Ling, stated that a fifth class and romantic relationships with NPCs are under consideration.
