Cygames announced it will serve as a premium partner for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, making it the first Japanese company in that role. The Group 1 race runs October 4 at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris. Very Cool has announced a 1/6 scale articulated action figure of Blue Mary from 'THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV'. Medicos Entertainment marked September 9, Attack on Titan Day, by revealing the prototype for the Chozo Kado BIG Attack on Titan (Eren Yeager) figure. The company also confirmed that the Armored Titan and Female Titan will be made into figures in the same line. The Eren Yeager figure is still in development, with the prototype shown as a work in progress.
Leg-slimming YouTuber Narune, who has more than 2.5 million subscribers, developed the ChenMe Hogu Hogu Cream after testing more than 300 leg care products. The cream launched July 29, 2026, sold out its first batch in three minutes, and reached number one on Amazon's body cream bestseller ranking. A restock begins September 16 on Amazon at 2,280 yen including tax for 190 grams. Maker AIRI plans another restock around winter.
Bandai is re-releasing the BT21 Mejirushi Accessory Angel ver. gashapon, limited to Gashapon Bandai Official Shops. The set is a re-sale of the product released in January 2026. D.I.G. has opened pre-orders for a DIGSTA PVC statue of Ikuyo Kita from Bocchi the Rock!, showing her in the maid outfit she wore at the school festival. Takara Tomy has opened Amazon reservations for Tomica Dream Tomica Sushi Tomica Sono Ichi, a set of six sushi-topping cars: ootoro, maguro, tamago, ika, anago, and ebi. Each car comes with a differently patterned sushi plate. The rice body hides a driver's seat, lights, a license plate, and a rice-grain emblem. Price is 909 yen each, release October 24, 2026.
Bandai is re-releasing the Combi Miniature Charm gashapon line, miniature charms reproducing baby products from Combi Corporation. The five-item lineup includes baby mugs, baby bottles with pacifiers, stacking cups, ride-on toys, and a swan-shaped potty. Each play costs 300 yen. The re-release is scheduled for the second week of September 2026, available at Gashapon Bandai Official Shops nationwide and the Gashapon Official Shop at Asakusa.
TOMYTEC's Little Armory line adds LD054 Desk Work Tools A2, a 1/12 scale unpainted assembly runner kit reproducing office equipment and stationery. Takara Tomy Mall is taking pre-orders for two LEGACYSOUL Super B-Daman products that revive the Master Kouryaku-Oh Special: a Black Ver. in a first-release test machine color and a W Case Set. Both are balance-type machines built for the five B-Daman events. Pre-orders run until November 8, 2026, with release scheduled for late March 2027. The Black Ver. is 3,300 yen and the W Case Set is 6,050 yen, tax included.

Takara Tomy's REALIZE MODEL line adds RMZ-026 Gustav Munbay specification, a 1/100 scale action plastic model of the insect-type Zoid. A dedicated articulation mechanism lets the whole body move, allowing poses like curling up or a twisting walking stance. Two traction platform trailers come in the box, with operation arms that attach to them. Pilot figures for Munbay and a general soldier each ride in the cockpit. Universal Studios Japan held a press preview on September 9 ahead of the September 10 opening of its autumn seasonal event "Universal Extreme Autumn ~Discover U!!!~", showing off the new Resident Evil collaboration merchandise and food. The goods lineup, sold at the park's online store, includes a T-shirt for 4,700 yen, a stainless tumbler for 3,200 yen, a Zombie Dog headband for 3,300 yen that makes the wearer look like a zombie dog is biting their head, and a Licker tissue pouch for 3,000 yen. New items let fans dress as the Raccoon City Police Department, with a 3-way bag and shirt in the R.P.D. style. The food lineup includes the Green Herb Recovery Croissant Dog with basil sauce and chicken for 1,000 yen, Leon S. Kennedy's Bitter Chocolate Churritos for 850 yen, and the Licker Popcorn Bucket for 5,500 yen, served at the cart in front of Space Fantasy: The Ride. The shop interior is also themed to the game's world, and the park described the collaboration as a yearly tradition.

The Pretty Memories adult toy line adds its 9th item: the Linkrun transformation phone notebook from Fresh Pretty Cure!, the 2009 series. The replica reproduces the broadcast-era design and ships with four dress-up sheets. All four Cures, Cure Peach, Cure Berry, Cure Pine, and Cure Passion, get completely new transformation voice recordings, joined by a four-person simultaneous transformation sequence and the opening theme. The Yatsuhakamura film is getting an apparel line with ZOZOTOWN. Items include logo T-shirts, hoodies, a cherry blossom embroidered shirt, socks, and TATARIJA!! T-shirts in three designs, plus original illustrations by Yu Nagao. Order sales run from September 18 to October 9, and a theater-only Tatari T-shirt sells at 27 venues during the screening period.
Kurapika and Leorio from HUNTER×HUNTER join the Look Up deformed figure series, which uses looking-up and sitting poses for desk display. Kurapika has an articulated neck and stands about 11 cm tall. Leorio's suit and sunglasses are recreated in the deformed style. Both are PVC painted finished products from MegaHouse, priced at 4,620 yen each. MegaHouse will open preorders on September 10 for G.M.G. COLLECTION 18 Mobile Suit Gundam Zeon Forces Lalah Sune, an action figure in the GUNDAM MILITARY GENERATION series. The figure includes replacement head parts and hand parts, and can be combined with the currently available Char and Amuro figures to recreate scenes from episodes 34 and 41. It costs 3,850 yen including tax and ships in late March 2027.

MegaHouse is releasing the Super Asurada SA-01/C from the OVA Future GPX Cyber Formula 11 in its Variable Action series, using some new sculpting and new molds. The figure is based on the Super Asurada 01 Ver.2.0 body model from January 2024 and reproduces the variant's rear wing end shape and undertray changes. Preorders open September 10, 2026. The Premium Bandai edition includes an acrylic figure with newly drawn art of Kazami Hayato and Breed Kaga. Price is 26,400 yen, release May 2027.
The G Structure diorama series, built to display 1/144 scale HG Gunpla, is bringing back Heliopolis from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED as an affordable unpainted semi-finished kit. Reservations open September 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM at hobby shops and online stores nationwide. The Heliopolis Battle Stage (Material Color Edition) reproduces the space colony's streets, with some buildings and support arms using 3mm joint pins for flexible layouts. Priced at 8,580 yen including tax, it ships in February 2027 from MegaHouse. The set does not include HG Gunpla figures.
MegaHouse announced four Naruto Shippuden merchandise lines. The Chibi Mega mascot collection uses art by illustrator Yu-pon. Luckap figures of Rock Lee and Neji Hyuga get a Premium Bandai set with a mini zabuton. MEGA CAT PROJECT turns eight Akatsuki characters into cats in bottles. Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), marking its 50th anniversary, and the new film Star Wars: Starfighter will screen on IMAX 70mm film across the US. The restored A New Hope begins re-screening nationwide on February 19, 2027, the first time in its 50-year history it will be shown in IMAX. Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, releases May 28, 2027, with IMAX film camera footage converted to IMAX 70mm prints. Lucasfilm has not announced IMAX screenings for Japan.
Takara Tomy announced seven new figures for its Transformers Age of the Primes (AOTP) line, scheduled for release in late February 2027, with pre-orders opening on September 9, 2026. The line centers on the Thirteen Primes, the originators of the Transformers. Among the new items are two large figures: AOTP-46 Jetfire (Armada Universe), a space shuttle that includes three Minicons (Astroscope, Sky Blast, and Payload) that combine into the Astro Blaster weapon, and AOTP-47 Optimus Prime (Armada Universe), a tractor-trailer whose container transforms into a battle station base and can link up for a Super Mode. Both figures can combine with each other and are priced at 17,600 yen each. The wave also includes smaller figures: AOTP-48 Fangry, a Decepticon Headmaster priced at 4,950 yen; AOTP-49 Blurr with Targetmaster Peacemaker at 4,950 yen; AOTP-50 Autobot Joyride with partner Hotwire at 4,950 yen; and AOTP-51 Tailgate at 4,950 yen. The wave caps with AOTP-52 Sentinel Prime, a Cybertronian tank figure with Conduit accessory, priced at 12,100 yen.
Outdoor brand MEI and the character Kaeru no Pickles, known as pickles the frog, are releasing their first collaboration. The lineup includes a 2WAY mock shoe with a pickle name on the heel, priced at 6,930 yen, plus the BOTTOMLINE and LUNCH BOSTON bags in green and beige. Sales start October 7, with pre-orders from September 16.
A One Piece Card Game card valued at $8,000 was stolen from Key Items Collectibles inside the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, on August 28, 2026. The missing card is the Sabo Red Manga Alternate Art card, graded PSA 10 Gem Mint by Professional Sports Authenticator, and police believe fewer than 2,000 copies exist. The Wyomissing Police Department is searching for two suspects captured on the store's CCTV footage. One suspect distracted the store owner while the other reached across the counter and removed the card from an unlocked display case. One suspect wore a light-colored Corona T-shirt and a red baseball cap; the second wore a black baseball cap, a black Nike T-shirt with orange lettering, and floral shorts. The PSA slab carries a unique security number that lets owners flag the item as stolen in the official database, and breaking the seal would drop the card's value from $8,000 to roughly $200. "So you're not going to be able to sell it for, you know, what it's worth," said Max Hirneisen, owner of Symbiote Collectibles, to 69News. The theft follows other high-value trading card robberies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey this year.
Takara Tomy's Dramatic Capture Series DinoBot Island part 1 is the 8th set in the line, a two-figure package with Grimlock and Ratchet. Both figures transform fully, Grimlock from robot mode to a mechanical Tyrannosaurus and Ratchet from robot mode to an ambulance. The set includes weapons, a sword for Grimlock, and flame effect parts. Preorders open September 9, 2026, at 17,050 yen including tax, with release planned for late February 2027.
Takara Tomy will release Powered Convoy V-MAX, a Great Combination System item, worldwide for Diaclone fans. Universal Studios Japan begins selling a Resident Evil Licker popcorn bucket on September 9, timed to the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights and the 30th anniversary of Capcom's Resident Evil series. The bucket is the park's first Resident Evil-design popcorn bucket, modeled on the Licker with its long tongue and sharp claws, and its head opens to hold miso-flavored popcorn. It sells at the Stage 22 popcorn cart.
Medicom Toy announced the 20th series of its UDF (ULTRA DETAIL FIGURE) line for PEANUTS. The lineup includes Snoopy with bone, Referee Snoopy, Catcher Schroeder, HALLOWEEN Patty, and a two-figure set of Charlie Brown and Yawn Snoopy. The figures stand about 5 to 9 cm tall. A through D are 1,980 yen each, the two-figure set is 2,420 yen. Release is planned for March 2027.

Hino Hytec is releasing a 1/43 scale die-cast finished model of the HINO 600 Series car No. 607, which finished 13th overall in the truck category at the 2025 Dakar Rally. Distributed by Platz, the limited production model is scheduled for release in September 2026 at 29,700 yen. It reproduces the body's sponsor marks and the koinobori mascot, with the chassis and suspension modeled in detail.

Capcom released the 'Get Ready for Arjun!' Fighting Pass for Street Fighter 6 on September 8, ahead of Arjun's October 13 debut. The pass includes EX colors for Dhalsim and Lily, a fireworks intrusion effect, new intrusion visuals for Ryu and Elena, Movie Star avatar equipment, and the classic shooter Giga Wing. A tie-in with the live-action Street Fighter film, opening October 16, offers free intrusion visuals.

JR East Cross Station Development Company will hold the final Suica Penguin fair at Gransta Tokyo, the station concourse complex at Tokyo Station, from September 23 to October 21.
