Ratalaika Games and Shinyuden have released Vixen 357 on Steam. The port carries over the Mega Drive original Masaya put out in 1992: 16 grid maps, turn-based combat, free pairing of pilots with units, and permadeath, where destroyed pilots and units do not come back. The Steam version adds a gallery of original illustrations and posters, plus rewind, speed-up, save anywhere, screen filters, and cheats. It is 20 percent off until November 7.
Sega detailed the houses and placeable objects coming in the Beans & Alpacas expansion for Farming Simulator 25, due October 27 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mac. Six house types come with different interiors, let players enter to change clothes and save, and age over time; delivering paint restores them. More than 80 new objects, including sheds and fences, can be placed around the farm.
Fujimi Model is adding three Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) container items. A 1/150 scale finished 40ft reefer container in the Train-NEXT Series uses a new mold and ships as a two-piece painted set with the MOL logo, alligator mark and two container numbers printed. A 1/24 scale 20ft dry container kit comes in gray and green. The reefer is scheduled for January 20, 2027 at 2,530 yen; the kits are January 26, 2027 at 4,290 yen each.
The live-action film of 5 Centimeters per Second, Makoto Shinkai's 2007 anime, starts streaming on Netflix on November 10. Directed by Yoshiyuki Okuyama, it stars Hokuto Matsumura as Takaki Tohno, with Mitsuki Takahata as Akari Shinohara. Kenshi Yonezu wrote the theme song "1991," and Masayoshi Yamazaki's "One more time, One more chance" is used as an insert song.
Max Factory is reissuing the figma of Violet, the Phantom Thief form of Kasumi Yoshizawa from Persona 5 The Royal. The figure is scheduled for release in June 2027 at 11,800 yen (tax included), and Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders through December 2. The articulated, non-scale figure stands about 135mm tall and includes three expression parts: a determined face, an angry face, and a smiling face. Accessories are a rapier, a musket, and front hair with a Phantom Thief mask, plus a figma stand with a movable support arm for posing. Sculpting is credited to Uniko Enomoto with production cooperation from Masaki Apsy; Max Factory releases the figure and Good Smile Company distributes it. The red ponytail and black-based Phantom Thief outfit are the character's design from the Atlus role-playing game. Purchases through the Good Smile Company official shop carry a closed-eyes smiling face as a bonus.

Ratailaka Games has confirmed the port of Vixen 357 for PC and consoles, with Japanese language support. The robot SRPG was released by Masaya in 1992 for the Mega Drive, set in AD 2396 and following pilot Takuya Murasawa. The port includes a gallery, rewind and turbo, cheats including invincibility, save states, and screen filters. It is scheduled for October 23 on Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
A Persona Series The Animation POP UP STORE will run at Aniplex Official Store in Kyoto IP Bookstore from October 30 to November 11, and at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA IP Bookstore from December 1 to January 4, 2027. The store covers the theatrical film Persona 3 and the TV anime Persona 4, Persona 4 The Golden, and Persona 5, with goods built on CloverWorks original illustrations of six characters.

Sega and GPTRACK50 will release the action RPG Stupid Never Dies on October 22, about one year after it was announced at The Game Awards. Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and director Eiichiro Sasaki told Automaton the short marketing window was deliberate, and that the team ran on veterans who keep delivery dates and costs in view.

WorldMap will hold the indie game exhibition DREAMSCAPE#5 on October 24 at International Forum Hall E, running 13:00 to 19:00 with last entry at 18:30. A GitHub project called PS5LM Plus runs GGUF language models on a jailbroken PlayStation 5 and serves chat from a PC or phone on the same network. Developer abhi245y built it on PS5LM, Mert Cobanov's llama.cpp port. In the developer's measurements, Qwen3.8-27B at UD-IQ2_XXS generated 20.7 tokens per second, and Llama 3.2 3B Instruct Q4_K_M loaded from USB reached 124 tokens per second.
HP Japan announced the HP OmniBook 5 14, a personal laptop aimed at students and young professionals. It runs an Intel Core 5 processor with NPU functionality, carries a 14-inch 2K OLED touch display at up to 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, weighs about 1.16kg, and is 11.7mm at its thinnest point. HP rates battery life at up to 42 hours during local video playback. It comes in four colors.
At an October 16 media interview after the RTX Spark Launch Party: Taipei, NVIDIA Senior Vice President Jeff Fisher denied rumors that production of the GeForce RTX 5090 has ended, saying shipments will continue. German outlet PC Games Hardware had reported on October 15, citing distribution and retail officials, that new supply of the GB202 chip used in the card had halted. Fisher said production capacity has constraints but NVIDIA is doing what it can to get products to market.

KandaQuantum has released Fuga 5000, an orchestrator that coordinates swarms of AI agents for developers. The company says it manages up to 5,000 agents a day from one Mac, connecting to existing Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok, and Kimi subscriptions. In a test on October 16, 2026, on a single MacBook Pro, it distributed 5,441 agents across 349 tasks. Fuga 5000 is macOS-only, and existing users already have access.
Atlus released LINE animated stickers for Persona 5 The Royal, drawn from scratch by creator Kawaisouni!, known for Opanchu Usagi and Npochamu. Liquid AI released LFM2.5-24B-A2B, a 24 billion parameter mixture-of-experts model with 245 million active parameters, pretrained on 33 trillion tokens and further trained for agent workflows. The company reports it scored higher than Qwen3.6-35B-A3B, Gemma-4-26B-A4B-it, and Nemotron-3.5-Lightning (30B-A3B) on agent benchmarks including AutomationBench and BFCLv4. Inference support already exists in llama.cpp, MLX, vLLM, SGLang, and ONNX, and the model is downloadable from Hugging Face as an open model.

The company compared benchmark scores against GLM-5.3-Flash, Kimi K3, Claude Fable 5, and GPT-6 Astra, saying GLM-Legal improved on its base model and surpassed Claude Fable 5 and GPT-6 Astra on some tests. GLM-Legal is in beta testing, is scheduled to reach Z.ai's AI agent AutoClaw, and is accepting API access applications.

Microsoft has changed the storage for Microsoft 365 Family and Premium from an individual allocation of 1TB per person to a shared pool used by up to six people. Sony Interactive Entertainment will release the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Midnight Black Japan-Only on November 19 at a suggested retail price of 55,000 yen including tax. The console is a color variant of the existing PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Japan-Only, which launched in 2025, and swaps the white shell for an all-black finish on the console cover and bundled DualSense controller. Because it is the Digital Edition with no disc drive, playing packaged software requires a separately sold disc drive. Sony will ship a matching Disc Drive Midnight Black on the same day for 11,980 yen including tax. Preorders for both products begin October 20 at PlayStation retailers and e-commerce sites in Japan. The console can only be used with a PlayStation account whose console language is set to Japanese and whose Country/Region is set to Japan. 352 Interactive announced SCREW IT! for Steam on October 10. The 4-8 player voice chat party game sets players as contestants on a late-1980s betting quiz show, where they bid on how many answers they can give to prompts such as naming capital cities in 30 seconds. Release is scheduled for Q4 2026 with a Japanese interface and subtitles.
FlashLabs has begun offering OrcaCyber Zero 1.5, a cybersecurity-specialized frontier model, on OrcaRouter, the AI inference gateway developed by Continuum AI and provided by FlashLabs for the Japanese market. According to the developer, the model scored 95.8% on CVE-Bench and 100% on Cybench under unconstrained agent execution, and it supports a 1 million token context window.
Tamiya is reissuing its 1/20 scale Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 kit as Grand Prix Collection No.72, scheduled for release on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The Group 5 car was built for the 1977 German Racing Championship, based on the Celica Liftback 2000GT with a body modified beyond its original form and a 560-horsepower engine. The kit includes two car numbers and Cartograf decals.

AnyPS5 is an open-source tool that converts PlayStation 5 game executables into native Linux and Windows programs. It has no emulator: a relinker translates executables into the target system's format, and system PRX libraries handle dynamic linking. The shader recompiler generates SPIR-V. In the project's compatibility list, Dreaming Sarah runs stably at 60fps on a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with an Intel Core i5-7500.
GKIDS will screen the live-action film of Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters per Second in North American theaters starting October 23. The company streamed an English-subtitled trailer and says home video details will come later this year. The film opened in Japan in October 2025, sold 278,000 tickets and earned 420 million yen (about US$2.78 million) in its first three days, and ranked at #2 in its opening weekend.

A jailbreak tool called PS5 Relapse Exploit supports PlayStation 5 firmware versions 7.00 to 13.60, which includes version 13.60 released in July 2026. 505 Games and KUNOS Simulazioni announced a new Free Roam mode for Assetto Corsa EVO on October 8, 2026. The mode recreates real roads, villages and landmarks in part of Germany's Eifel region at 1:1 scale, starting with the area around the Nürburgring. It includes the 20.8km Nordschleife and can be played solo or with other players. A playable demo appears at Sim Racing Expo in Frankfurt from October 16 to 18.
