Titled The End and the Beginning, the episode reveals the identity of a mysterious old man who tells Rudeus he came from the future and speaks of tragic events about to befall him. Hamster will release Console Archives Nobunaga's Ambition: Sengoku Gunyuuden on September 10 for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. The download costs 800 yen and supports one to four players. The game is a re-release of the 1990 Koei 8-bit simulation war game, the third entry in the Nobunaga's Ambition series. The player takes the role of a feudal lord and works to unify all 38 provinces, including Kanto and Chubu, by commanding warlords through war and diplomacy. The re-release builds on the previous game, Nobunaga's Ambition: National Edition, and adds a two-scenario multi-scenario system, field battles and siege battles on HEX maps, and roughly 400 real warlords. Hamster announced the release on September 9. The title is the second Nobunaga's Ambition game in the Console Archives line, following National Edition, which arrived on March 5. The Console Archives series reproduces classic console games on current hardware with features such as button and screen customization and save and load anywhere.
The September 9 issue of Young Animal Zero, dated 10/1, features Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san and Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito on the cover and in color. Both titles previously had TV anime adaptations announced. The issue also runs a two-chapter release for Boku no Suki na Hito and promotes the September 29 release of Mochizuki-san volume 4.
Amasian TV confirmed it is now streaming the second and third seasons of the Hyakusho Kizoku anime with English subtitles and Japanese audio in the United States. The episodes are available on demand for free without a subscription. The series adapts Hiromu Arakawa's autobiographical manga about her seven years farming in Hokkaido before she became a manga creator, an experience that later informed Silver Spoon. Yanmaga Web is offering the Swamp arc of Tobaku Hakairoku Kaiji free until September 13. The free run covers chapters 48 through 134, in which Kaiji, entrusted with a large sum by his comrades, takes on a pachinko machine called the swamp at a casino. The publisher said it arranged the urgent release with author Nobuyuki Fukumoto's permission after the arc drew attention. The manga ran in Weekly Young Magazine from 2000 to 2004.
The Dragon Quest 40th anniversary exhibition Dragon Quest the DIVE will run in Osaka from January 26 to March 14, 2027, at Grand Front Osaka's North Building Knowledge Capital Event Lab. Tohokushinsha and Square Enix announced the dates on September 7. The Tokyo run, held July 17 to September 6 at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku's Harakado, drew more than 90,000 visitors and sold out all tickets. The main attraction is the Dragon Quest VR RIDE, an immersive ride using Meta Quest 3 headsets and motion seats. Riders cross plains on a killer panther, dodge monsters in a forest, and fly through the sky with wind effects. After the ride, visitors move through zones including a castle, field, town, and item shop. A special ticket includes a framed three-pin badge set of Roto's Sword, the Sky Sword, and the Hero's Sword Kai, with the 40th anniversary logo. Ticket sales begin September 8 at 10:00 through the Square Enix app, followed by a Lawson Ticket advance sale October 6 and general sale October 21. A collab cafe with a menu different from Tokyo's will also run, open only to ticket holders.
Mizuki Hoshino announced Friday that Fukakōryoku no I Love You will go on hiatus due to the creator's poor health. Hoshino said the manga's return will be announced at a later date. The series has run in Shueisha's Margaret magazine since August 2023, and Shueisha published the ninth compiled volume on June 25. The story follows first-year high school student Sena Kodama and her senior Wataya.

VTuber Natori Sana has released an original disaster preparedness set timed to Disaster Prevention Day on September 1. The set, named the Sana Channel Kingdom Issued National Disaster Preparedness Set, is on sale at the Natori Sana Official Shop until September 15 at 23:59, priced at 19,800 yen including tax. Twin Engine announced on Thursday that production on a sequel to the Nippon Sangoku television anime has been green-lit. The announcement came two months after the first season's finale aired on June 21. Sega announced on September 3 that STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, the new action adventure game from RGG Studio, has surpassed 1 million wishlist registrations worldwide. The publisher called this the highest pre-release count ever for an RGG Studio title. The Summer Hikaru Died manga will end in two chapters. The official X account for Mokumokuren's series announced on September 1 that chapter 50 arrives October 13 and chapter 51, the final chapter, arrives October 20. The manga launched on Kadokawa's Young Ace Up website in August 2021. Kadokawa published the ninth compiled volume on June 4, and the series exceeded 3 million copies in circulation by the sixth volume. Yen Press publishes the English edition and will release volume 8 on October 27. Mokumokuren previously said the manga is planned to reach 10 volumes. The series was nominated for the 16th Manga Taisho Awards and topped the 2023 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list for male readers. The television anime adaptation of Mochimaru Sakaki's light novel series The World's Strongest Witch has revealed its main promotional video, main visual, and additional cast and staff. The new trailer also previews the opening and ending theme songs. The anime is set to premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, and TV Aichi on October 7, 2026, and on MBS on October 10, 2026. Yuto Uemura joins the cast as Reinhardt Highwind, the town's gatekeeper. Hamster Corporation will release Console Archives Little Princess: Maru Oukoku no Ningyou Hime 2 for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on August 20, 2026. The game, priced at 1,500 yen, is a revival of Nippon Ichi Software's 1999 musical RPG for the original PlayStation. It is set 12 years after the previous game, Maru Oukoku no Ningyou Hime, and follows Kururu, the daughter of Cornet and Prince Ferdinand, as she travels the Maru Kingdom in search of her ideal prince. The battle system has been overhauled from the predecessor, with command-based combat where special moves consume HP and partner dolls use the in-game currency Inochium. NIJISANJI EN's unit BY THE BEAT will premiere music videos for its second digital single "MERORI" and the Japanese version "Boku ni Merori" on its official YouTube channel. The "MERORI" video premieres August 19 at 22:00, and "Boku ni Merori" premieres August 25 at 22:00. Waiting rooms for both premieres are now open.
Good Smile Company is re-releasing the MODEROID plastic model of Mazinger ZERO from 'Shin Mazinger ZERO vs Ankoku Daishogun' in January 2027. The kit, originally released in September 2024, stands approximately 155mm tall and features articulated joints. It uses molded colors, pre-painted parts, and stickers to reproduce the color scheme without painting. The high heat plate and ZERO Scrander on the back are made of clear parts, and the ZERO Scrander is detachable. The model includes a gimmick that reproduces the opening and closing of the face, along with open hands and gripping hands. The prototype is by T-REX, with production cooperation from Sentinel, Nakano Haijin, and Tetsuo Sakata (HRG). The price is 7,500 yen (tax included), and reservations are being accepted until September 30. Shipping is scheduled for January 2027.
Episode 8 of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation III follows Rudeus and his party as they meet Perugius, the Armored Dragon King, and explore his flying fortress. The episode mostly delivers world-building and answers about the state of the world, but the plot only advances through Nanahoshi's worsening health, which ends with a violent magical reaction.
