Amagami Konomi, a VTuber signed to Million Production, took first place in the favorite VTuber category of the Chao Girls' Favorite Things Ranking 2026, published in the October issue of Shogakukan's shoujo manga magazine Chao. She had finished second in the same ranking in both 2024 and 2025, so the win is her first in three years of being listed. On September 4 she posted on X that she was very happy to finally reach the top spot she had quietly aimed for, and thanked fans. Konomi debuted as a VTuber in December 2022 and joined Million Production in April 2023 as a 0th-generation creator. She also works as an illustrator, designing her own avatar and Live2D model, and posts making-of videos on YouTube Shorts. In the October 2025 issue of Chao she wrote a nine-page manga one-shot. The previous two winners of the ranking were Hololive's Usada Pekora and Houshou Marine.

Konami Unveils Rhapsody in Scarlet, a 1920s New York Action Game

Konami announced Rhapsody in Scarlet, a new action game set in 1920s New York, during Sony's State of Play livestream on September 3. The story follows Ellie Myers, a young magus who arrives in New York to pursue a career as a jazz singer and is caught up in an incident tied to a mysterious mafia organization. She meets Ilya, leader of the Seekers, an elite organization of magi, and the two investigate the mafia's schemes while uncovering a battle that threatens the balance of the world. Trailer footage showed Ellie using electricity, fire, and water magic alongside monster companions in fights against giant summon beasts across a stylish metropolis. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine. Cherami Leigh voices Ellie Myers and Hannah Grace voices Ilya Jones. SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS perform the theme song "Cool/Hot feat. Emi Meyer." Konami plans to release the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Adachitoka Returns with New Manga Yadoya no Oinu-sama

Zombie Wrap Simulator: Grill the Dead Announced for PC in 2027

PlayWay S.A. announced on September 3 that Digital Melody's Zombie Wrap Simulator: Grill the Dead is in development. The first-person shop management sim is planned for PC via Steam with a 2027 release and Japanese language support. Players run the last kebab shop in a fallen world, collecting zombies to process into meat for kebabs, delivering meals by day, and defending the shop from Zomboners at night with barricades and stationary guns.

The Tenth Mosaic Festival Lines Up Kodaka, Mizuguchi, Toyama Talks
