RIOT MUSIC and Culture Entertainment have announced the full performer list for ESPERA -AdHoc Live Festival 2026-, a virtual music festival on VRChat running November 20 to 22, 2026. The first two days are free, and the November 22 final day is ticketed. Performers include Kiwa Suu, VESPERBELL, Yomi, Kizuna AI, Harusaruhi, Tsukishiro Rui, Shirakawa Shirase, Shikibu Meguri, and Doo/Sakujaku kaza. Tickets went on sale October 24 on ZAIKO, with S tickets at 15,000 yen, on-site tickets at 4,000 yen, and streaming tickets at 3,000 yen.

Kodansha's FAIRY TAIL is marking 20 years since its serialization began with a first collaboration with the apparel brand graniph. Creative Assembly vice president Roger Collum posted a statement on the company forum about Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition, which launched October 14 and was pulled from sale the next day after negative Steam reviews over performance, bugs, and broken mod support. Collum said the title was externally developed and never went through internal review or QA, and that responsibility still lies with Creative Assembly. Tech Guys will hold an open pre-alpha playtest for MECH OPS 2092 from November 7 to 8, 2026. The build, in development for nine months, offers two mech presets, about two locations, and a training mode. JINS will release eight eyewear models based on the protagonists of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure at its stores nationwide and its online shop on October 29, 2026. A jailbreak method called ns2jb for the Nintendo Switch 2 has been released, developed with the help of OpenAI Codex, OpenAI's coding AI, according to the developer Sammy Hajhamid. The tool works through software alone and supports system version 23.0.1. Hajhamid connected JetKVM devices to the original Switch and the Switch 2 so OpenAI Codex could see the screen and send controller input, and used a SwitchBot to press the power button after crashes.

KADOKAWA released newly drawn character visuals and mini character illustrations on October 23 for four characters in Delicious in Dungeon Season 2: Falin, Kabru, Mithrun, and Sissel. Falin is Laios's sister, transformed into a chimera with a dragon by the power of the Mad Mage. Kabru leads a young party traveling the dungeon, and Mithrun is captain of the Canaries, who investigate the dungeon. Sissel is the Mad Mage who controls Falin. Saori Hayami voices Falin, Wataru Katou voices Kabru, Kouki Uchiyama voices Mithrun, and Yuu Kobayashi voices Sissel. The anime adapts Ryouko Kui's manga, which has surpassed 14 million copies in cumulative circulation including digital editions. Season 1 aired in 2024. Director Yoshihiro Miyajima, series composition writer Kimiko Ueno, and character designer Naoki Takeda return from the first season, with TRIGGER handling animation production. Season 2 is scheduled to begin airing in October 2027, with sequential streaming on Netflix and other streaming sites also decided.

Sega detailed the houses and placeable objects coming in the Beans & Alpacas expansion for Farming Simulator 25, due October 27 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mac. Hallmark has released a Christmas ornament modeled on the semi-transparent original Xbox console from the Halo special edition. The Wound & Bandage anime added Shoya Ishige to its cast as Ginsuke Hatobane, revealed in a second teaser video posted on Friday. The series stars Hisako Kanemoto as Riyo Washizu and Chikahiro Kobayashi as Go Kiritani, with Miyuki Ishida directing at J.C. Staff and Susumu Yamakawa writing scripts. Hideo Kojima confirmed on Monday that he performed in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, reprising Hideyoshi Oshima, the braindance producer he played in Cyberpunk 2077. Kojima posted photos from his voice recording session. The sequel to Studio Trigger's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered on Netflix on October 20. The first series, based on CD PROJEKT RED's Cyberpunk 2077 game, premiered on Netflix in September 2022.

Amazon Japan lists the fifth collected volume of Kumo Kagyu and artist Koutarou Sekine's Moscow 2160 as the series' final book. The volume ships on December 25. Sekine and Kagyu launched the manga in Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan in December 2022, with Noboru Kannatsuki on character design. Square Enix shipped the fourth volume in December 2025. SB Creative released a light novel adaptation by Kagyu in June 2023.

Circana's September 2026 U.S. sales report puts Marvel's Wolverine, the Insomniac Games action-adventure published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, in first place. According to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, the PS5 title posted the highest first-month dollar sales for a Sony-published game since Helldivers 2, which launched in February 2024 on PS5 and PC. Despite launching in mid-September, Marvel's Wolverine took the monthly top spot. PS5 dollar sales rose 43 percent year on year and unit sales 22 percent, giving PlayStation its highest monthly hardware sales share since May 2025. Xbox Series X|S fell 27 percent and Switch 2 fell 14 percent. Ampere data cited in the report has Marvel's Wolverine at about 2.16 million copies globally in September, second among PS5 titles behind EA Sports FC 27. The top 10 included Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Ace Combat 8. Recent Sony releases such as Astro Bot, Stellar Blade and Ghost of Yotei had smaller first months.

Keen Software House released the Hostile Encounters update for Space Engineers 2 on October 20, adding hostile NPCs. The enemies come in two types, Renegades and Boatmen, and the development team describes the Boatmen as a stronger leader-type among the Renegades. Halfbrick Studios and FunOldGames have launched Bruisers 2D Boxing in early access on Steam at 2,800 yen. The 2D pixel-art boxing game has players train, manage diet, fight, and sometimes resort to doping while climbing from amateur to the pro ranks. Solo developer Morph has released a demo of Trillionaire Mercenaries of 21XX on itch.io. The stealth action adventure is set in 21XX, on an Earth swallowed by the sea, where three corporate nations fight over remaining territory and race to build an Artificial God. CD PROJEKT RED's Japan account announced on October 21 that the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 original soundtrack and Tsuneo Imahori's Original Series Score are out on music streaming services. The soundtrack holds all 8 songs, including Petite Meller's ending theme "Watson (feat. Oslo Green)," Rico Nasty's "You Can't Run From Me," and DOUDOU's "A Rusty Dream." Imahori's 39-track score collects the incidental music. Both albums are on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.

Anthropic will run Built with Claude: Japan 2026, a fully online hackathon co-hosted with the AI community Cerebral Valley, from 12:00 on November 2 to 14:00 on November 10.
