Virtual Singer YuNi Establishes Own Company, Goes Independent
Virtual singer YuNi announced her departure from her agency TOY'S FACTORY at the end of March 2026, and the establishment of her own company, YuNi on BMC Inc., on April 9, 2026. She made the announcement during a livestream on June 14, the eighth anniversary of her debut. YuNi will serve as the representative of the new company. She cited a desire to take on challenges she could not pursue under her previous agency, where budget constraints limited her activities in a rapidly changing industry. With the new setup, YuNi is resuming several projects: the self-produced music unit cyAnos, which had been inactive since December 2023; cover song video uploads; member-only game streams; and a weekly YouTube singing stream. The first singing stream is scheduled for June 15 at 8:00 PM. Alongside the announcement, she launched a crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE to fund original song production and live events. The campaign reached its 5 million yen target within about 20 minutes and has raised over 9 million yen as of writing. YuNi plans to discuss stretch goals with her staff. She also announced a YuNi ONLINE LIVE for the end of October 2026.
