Kentucky Fried Chicken and Cygames' Uma Musume Pretty Derby will launch a collaboration campaign titled "Uma Musume no Uma Uma Kentucky" on August 12. The key visual, released on KFC's official X account, shows characters Dantsu Flame, Agnes Tachyon, Manhattan Cafe, Red Desire, Buena Vista, Stay Gold, and Lucky Lilac dressed as KFC store employees. Gold Ship appears as Colonel Sanders. The collaboration's full details will be announced during the "Paka Live TV' #5" broadcast on July 29 at 8:00 PM. This is not the first tie-up between the two brands; previous collaborations have included in-game item packs and limited-time meal sets. The campaign is expected to run at KFC locations in Japan, though specific menu items or merchandise have not yet been revealed.
Bushiroad revealed new details for Shadowverse EVOLVE at the Bushiroad TCG Strategy Presentation 2026 Summer on July 22. The presentation covered upcoming booster packs, a mini collaboration with Uma Musume Pretty Derby, and a world tournament scheduled for April 25, 2027. The booster pack "Academy Royal" is set for release on July 31, and the set "Over the Calamity," which includes cards from the 22nd card pack of the digital Shadowverse, will launch on October 2. The mini collaboration within "Over the Calamity" features Uma Musume characters Haru Urara and Oguri Cap. The abilities of the "Oguri Cap (Full Speed)" card were shown for the first time. Reprint cards from the EX collaboration pack "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" will also be included, with some cards getting special Uma Musume card frames. Shadowverse EVOLVE is a physical trading card game based on Cygames' digital card game Shadowverse, first released in 2022.
Daiki Kogyo will sell a limited PVC garage kit of Tsutafu Toshiko's original character Tomoe Sakura at Wonder Festival 2026 Summer, held July 26, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The 1/5 scale kit stands approximately 325mm tall and costs 12,000 yen at the event. The kit features cast-off swimsuit top, bottom, and necktie, plus interchangeable arm parts that allow display in clothed or unclothed states. Decal data is available for download from Daiki Kogyo's website. The kit is sculpted by Tsutafu Toshiko and will be sold at the Daiki Kogyo booth in the 18+ area. Wonder Festival 2026 Summer advance tickets cost 3,500 yen, with U22 and afternoon discounts available. Same-day tickets are 4,000 yen, and priority admission is 7,500 yen.
The Uma Musume: Pretty Derby franchise announced its 7th Event World Tour: The Stage will stop at Los Angeles' Peacock Theater on October 22-23, with 17 cast members. Tickets go on sale July 23. The tour, which began in Tokyo in June, will also visit London, Seoul, and Yokohama, marking the franchise's first global live performances.
Bandai Spirits will release prize figures of Rice Shower and Nakayama Festa from the Uma Musume unit BoC'z we\n in December. The two figures complete the seven-member lineup of the unit, which originated as an April Fools' project. Previous figures for other members were released earlier in 2026.

TheOASG Podcast reports that Shogakukan's MangaOne editorial department admitted it allowed manga creator Shoichi Yamamoto to publish under a pen name after his 2020 arrest and conviction for a sex crime. The department also hid his past from the artist drawing the series. Shogakukan later revealed that Tatsuya Matsuki, the act-age writer convicted in 2020, was also working on the service under a pen name. An investigative committee with lawyers has been formed.
The Arc Championship 2026 itasha event was held on May 24 at Okuibuki Motor Park in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, drawing 250 fan-decorated vehicles. Concurrent events Aiste 2nd and Atabui 2026, themed around VTubers and the Idolmaster series, also took place at the venue.
