Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and director Eiichiro Sasaki discussed the action RPG Stupid Never Dies ahead of its October 22 release, saying its combat targets the head-on, guard-free brawling of Chainsaw Man's Denji. Sasaki said the demo drew heavy feedback, including calls for a lock-on, and an update patch is planned for September 22 at noon. The game follows a zombie, Davy, hunting the King of Monsters.
ARK, a Hiratsuka-based company developing modular closed recirculating aquaculture systems, has appointed Yosuke Sasaki as an outside director. Sasaki is representative director of Soleil Partners and was a founding member of the SoftBank Vision Fund, where he served as managing partner of its London office. ARK says the appointment is meant to strengthen its global business strategy, capital strategy, and governance as it seeks to deploy its systems overseas.

Atlus began early distribution of the new battle song "Prime Time Golden Hour Show" from "Persona 4 Revival" on August 31. The track is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, with a lyric video on the Atlus Game Music YouTube channel. Shiori Sasaki performs vocals, with composition by ATLUS Sound Team and lyrics by ATLUS. A second battle song, "Reach Out To The Truth -Revival-", is scheduled for distribution soon.
The We Are Aliens anime film announced four new cast members on Thursday. Gaku Sano plays Seiya Toda, Reika Ōzeki plays young Seiya, Arisa Sasaki plays Elmo Matsushita, and Edo Harumi plays a calligraphy teacher. The film opens in Japan on September 25.
Nijisanji livers Sasaki Saku reached 1 million YouTube subscribers on August 12, 2026. The milestone was confirmed during a livestream that began at 7:00 PM JST, where Sasaki watched the count cross the threshold with viewers. Upon reaching the number, she shouted "Kitaaa" and thanked fans, saying "Thank you for 1 million." The achievement came after a false alarm on August 10, when the subscriber count briefly displayed 1 million before dropping back to the 990,000 range. Sasaki, who was away visiting family at the time, posted on X that the count had not actually reached the milestone, describing the jump from 990,000 to 1.02 million as suspicious behavior. Capcom held a media tour and hands-on event for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first completely new entry in the series in 20 years, ahead of its September 4 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The playable build covered the section after the Ganryu battle, including the wide-linear Kyoto field and boss fights against Daidara, Raishogan, and Byakue. The field reproduces real Kyoto landmarks such as Kiyomizu-dera, Yasui Konpira-gu, Rokudo Chinno-ji, and Kennin-ji, with the Kiyomizu stage matching the real floorboard count. The Raishogan battle at Yasui Konpira-gu stood out for its variety of attacks and clear countermeasures, including cutting bond threads with a bow to weaken the boss. The Switch 2 version supports Joy-Con 2 motion controls for one-handed and two-handed attacks. The demo's difficulty was intentionally accessible, but the full game includes stronger enemies and more complex attack patterns. Producer Akito Kadowaki and Director Ken Nihei also discussed the game's sound design, which uses a custom sound-effect sword and a suitcase with a broken drum pedal to create the special move sounds.
The live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Look Back one-shot manga has revealed a new trailer, six additional cast members, and a September 11 opening date in Japan. Masaki Suda plays editor Maeda, with Kankurō Kudō, Kayo Noro, Ryō Ikeda, Miyu Sasaki, and Maho Yamada also joining. GKIDS will release the film in North America, the U.K., and Ireland in 2026.

Kadokawa announced on Monday that the second season of the Sasaki and Peeps television anime will premiere in October 2026. A new promotional video and key visual were released alongside the date. The season will be directed by Yushi Ibe at SILVER LINK, who previously served as episode and assistant director on the first season. Yamato Ouchi, a first-season episode director, is now assistant director. Kazunori Ozawa, who worked as animation director on season one, takes over action supervision. Yuko Shintani becomes compositing director of photography, and Tsutomu Ogasawara joins as 3D director. Series composition writer Deko Akao, character designer Saori Nakashiki, and sound director Nobuyuki Abe all return. New music producers Koji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki were previously announced. Crunchyroll will stream the second season. The first season aired from January to March 2024, totaling 12 episodes. The light novel series, written by Buncololi with illustrations by Kantoku, won the Tankobon and Novel categories in the 2022 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook.
