Initial D THE ARCADE is running Ver.3.4 with the Akagi (Snow) course and its own Time Trial rankings in arcades nationwide, and a Persona 5 The Royal collaboration event is live from October 8, with items earned through play stamps and time trial events. The game's 4th official national tournament is in its regional qualifying stage ahead of a March 28, 2027 final.
Initial D THE ARCADE is Sega Fave's arcade racer, and through 2026 the operator has kept it on two tracks at once: a version cadence that adds courses, cars, and single-player chapters, and a live event economy built on collaborations. Ver.3.4 began operating at arcades nationwide on October 8, 2026, adding the Akagi (Snow) course with its own Time Trial rankings, a new race BGM by EXIT titled Command (Eurobeat Union) with lori on vocals, the DAIHATSU Copen Active Top (L880K) as a playable car, and a new Chapter15: Run Festival, plus two new partner characters in Public Road Fastest Theory.
The collaboration side ran through the summer and fall. A Touhou Project collaboration Part 3 was held as an EX revival and an EX reprint from July 30 to October 7, 2026, bringing back all previous collaboration items while adding new chat stamps and race BGM and renewing play stamps and time trial events. A Persona 5 The Royal event began October 8, with items based on Joker, Panther, and Queen: acrylic stands, avatars, avatar backgrounds, chat stamps, titles, vinyl stickers, and meters drawn from the game's interface, plus BGM tracks including "Life Will Change" and "Last Surprise." Players earn the items through play stamps and TT events, and a collaboration special movie is being released.
Competitively, the 4th official national tournament, Public Road Strongest Deciding Battle 4th, was announced in June 2026 with three categories: KING OF DRIVER 4th for 2-car battle, Toge Battle Royale 4th for 4-car battle, and MASTER ATTACKER 4th for time trial. A tag tournament, the Double Ace Cup, was scheduled for November 2026, with Lifeguard as sponsor. Regional qualifiers run from August 2026 to January 2027 at seven locations, starting with North Kanto on August 29, and winners advance to the final on March 28, 2027. Entries opened in July with a new local bracket system for the 2-car battle division.
