Square Enix announced on June 26 that Tidus, the protagonist of Final Fantasy X, will be added to the smartphone game Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy on June 30. The free-to-play iOS and Android action battle game launched in March 2026 and features warriors from the Final Fantasy series battling in modern Tokyo. Tidus is a Speed-type Water-attribute character with the Quick Trick dash attack and the Zanarkand Abes Ace passive. A limited-time gacha for his exclusive abilities Jecht Shot and Ace of the Blitz will also be available.

MAPPA will produce the anime adaptation of Naoki Fujita's Beat & Motion manga, with a worldwide Netflix release scheduled for 2027. The announcement came during the studio's 15th anniversary livestream on June 19, which also revealed a teaser visual, a first trailer, and the main staff and cast. Yuki Komada directs the series, with Misaki Morie handling series composition and scripts. Kazunori Aoki is the character designer and chief animation director. Shuichiro Umeda voices protagonist Tatsuhiko Hirayama, a former aspiring animator who reconnects with his craft after meeting indie musician Nico Kashiwagi, played by Aya Gomazuru. The manga ran in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ from February 2023 to January 2025, spanning six volumes. It originated as the grand prize winner of Shueisha's Million Tag competition, which guaranteed the winner a serialization and an anime adaptation. Viz Media and MANGA Plus publish the manga in English. The livestream also included new information on Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and other MAPPA projects.

Square Enix announced the official art book "FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL | The Art of Succession - Relics of Eternity -" will release on December 15 for 3,630 yen. The 304-page A4 book compiles roughly 1,000 pieces of artwork from patches 7.1 through 7.5, including character art, dungeon and trial settings, and designs for equipment, minions, and mounts. A purchase bonus grants the in-game minion "Sweet Cat."

Square Enix will hold pop-up stores at Daimaru Shinsaibashi and Daimaru Tokyo from July 3 and July 17 respectively, selling exclusive Final Fantasy X merchandise, music, and art books. The stores also feature wall designs and mini panels with 25th anniversary art, plus a collaboration collection with Daimaru Matsuzakaya department stores.

Square Enix announced a collaboration event between the mobile RPG "Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent" and "Final Fantasy X," running from June 18 to August 13. The event brings Tidus, Yuna, and Auron as playable 5-star characters, with job classes set to Thief, Cleric, and Warrior respectively. Players can obtain one of the three characters guaranteed through a free "Seal Box" distributed at the Web Ruby Shop. The event story, supervised by Motomu Toriyama with character supervision by Tetsuya Nomura, unfolds in three parts. Collaboration weapons including Ultima Weapon, Nirvana, and Masamune are obtainable by defeating specific enemies in the "Record of Archfiends" mode. A Cactuar companion is available as an event reward, and a quiz campaign during the collaboration livestream will grant all players 800 Rubies. The collaboration coincides with campaigns celebrating 20 million downloads of the mobile title.

A post from 2015 by X user Caleb correctly predicted the third title in the Final Fantasy VII remake series, Revelation, before the first remake was released. The post also came close on the second title, Rebirth, and loosely matched the first game's full name. The prediction resurfaced after Square Enix announced Revelation at Summer Game Fest 2026.

Square Enix began offering Final Fantasy XIV in-game items as furusato nozei return gifts for Shibuya Ward on June 16. Donations of 17,000 yen receive a five-pack of Fantasia, while 9,000 yen gets the Great Hound mount. Other items include dance emotes and costume sets.
