Sega released the Kokura Chapter story trailer for STRANGER THAN HEAVEN on October 16, 2026. The RGG Studio action-adventure, headed to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on January 15, 2027, follows Shin Otou across five eras and five cities from 1915 to 1965. The trailer covers his voyage from America to Kokura and his turn toward becoming a henchman.
The trailer opens on Otou's crossing: persecuted in America, he stows away on the ship of the trader Orpheus and reaches Japan, where discrimination and persecution wait for him in Kokura as well. Yu Shirota plays Otou. Dean Fujioka plays Yu Mashiro, the friend he parts from at the docks; Snoop Dogg plays Orpheus, who tracks the two down after they slip away on arrival. Akio Otsuka plays Heigo Yashima, the boss of Kurogane-cho, whose offer of work gives Otou a way to survive. Sega said footage for each remaining city will follow.
