Chiikawa Library Card NEXT Goes On Sale With Two Book-Holding Designs
A card tied to a bookstore network puts Chiikawa merchandise on shelves where the series' readers already are, and the one-design-at-a-time sale shape means buyers pick a favorite rather than a bundle.

The limited-edition Chiikawa Library Card NEXT went on sale October 22, 2026 at bookstores nationwide that carry the card. Two designs, A "Nakayoshi Dokusho" and B "Hon to Asobou," show Hachiware, Chiikawa, and Usagi with books. Each has a face value and selling price of 1,000 yen, tax-exempt, and is sold individually rather than as a set. A Chiikawa face-shaped mount and an envelope come with the card.
The card is not the only printed piece. The mount is cut in the shape of Chiikawa's face, and its inside spread carries an illustration of an old bookstore, with a small Chiikawa and the slot where the card sits visible when it opens. The envelope shows Hachiware, Chiikawa, and Usagi holding books.
The two designs split by mood: "Nakayoshi Dokusho" lines the three up holding books on a yellow background, while "Hon to Asobou" has them around books on light blue. Availability is limited to participating bookstores, and the announcement notes some stores do not carry the card and that purchase limits and stock vary by shop.
- A "Nakayoshi Dokusho": Hachiware, Chiikawa, and Usagi holding books on a yellow background; 1,000 yen
- B "Hon to Asobou": the three around books on a light blue background; 1,000 yen
