Black Clover Season 2 Returns After Five And A Half Years
The anime picks up at chapter 271, the exact point where the first season and a five-and-a-half-year gap stopped, so the return is a direct continuation of the manga's most popular arc rather than a reboot or spinoff.

Queen Lolopechka is taken in the Heart Kingdom and Magic Knight captains Yami and Vangeance are abducted in the Clover Kingdom. The adaptation resumes at the break point of the first season, with Ayataka Tanemura directing and Studio Pierrot animating.
Original author Yuki Tabata commented on the return. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump GIGA from February 2015 to May 2026 and has surpassed 25 million copies in circulation worldwide.
