Yuusha Rogue Sets October 31 Release For PC
A solo developer's answer to the genre's friction is a design argument, not a feature list: Comfort Dash, auto-identification, and a shop where placing an item on the floor sets its price all cut the ritual turn-based roguelikes demand.

Individual developer Dorasa announced that the turn-based roguelike RPG Yuusha Rogue is scheduled for release on October 31. The game is slated for PC via Steam and will be exhibited the same day at the indie game exhibition Tokyo Game Dungeon 14, held from 11:00 to 17:00 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Hall. Dorasa built the game around Comfort Dash and automatic identification of discovered items.
Dorasa is not a studio, and the gamepad he built for his own game is not a peripheral pitch. He made a dedicated controller for turn-based roguelikes, where key presses pile up, and adjusted the button layout and feel himself. The same logic runs through Yuusha Rogue. Dungeons regenerate every time, players act turn by turn, and the systems strip out the chores: wands and equipment are identified automatically once their effect is known, and selling means dropping an item and talking to the shopkeeper Panda. Dorasa also works in 3D printing and electronics.
