XREAL Aura Pricing Lands at 229,800 Yen for Entry Model
At over 200,000 yen, XREAL Aura is priced for developers and early adopters rather than a mass audience, and the reservation-pass system already drew enough demand that XREAL restricted advance purchases to customers who reserved by October 7.

XREAL announced domestic pricing for its Android XR headset, XREAL Aura, on October 8, 2026, and opened remaining balance payments for customers who had bought reservation passes. The 12GB memory and 256GB storage model costs 229,800 yen, and the 16GB memory and 512GB storage model costs 269,800 yen, both tax included. Both configurations come in M size for 60 to 66mm interpupillary distance and L size for 66 to 72mm. The headset's glasses portion weighs roughly 95 grams and connects to a separate compute pack carrying a Qualcomm Snapdragon Reality Elite chip, memory, storage, and battery. The pack has a front touchpad for operating the OS and apps, unlike the Meta VR Glasses announced in September 2026, whose pack has only a power button. XREAL plans general order acceptance within the next few weeks, with shipping set for within the year.
The payment window opened at 21:00 on October 7 for pass holders in Japan, the United States, Canada, and South Korea, with other regions rolling out in 2027. Customers who complete payment by October 31 get priority shipping, ranked first for First-Edition Limited Pass holders and second for Bonus Program and Reservation Pass holders. First-Edition Limited Pass holders must pay by 23:59 Japan time on October 17 to keep the serial-numbered edition; paying on or after October 18 forfeits it.
Anyone who does not finish payment by 23:59 Japan time on April 28, 2027 receives a full automatic refund. New Reservation Pass buyers and general reservations start October 31. XREAL co-founder and CEO Chi Xu said the device combines lightweight optical see-through glasses with Android XR, Gemini, and Snapdragon performance. The glasses offer up to 70 degrees of field of view, hand tracking, Bose audio, and two spatial cameras plus one color camera. A USB Type-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode connection lets the glasses mirror video from a PC, phone, or handheld gaming PC.
