X-Force Under Attack Ends Steam Sales On October 30
The delisting is part of a stated reorganization of the X-Force franchise rather than a quiet retirement: Cube Games says a major free update is planned for X-Force Genesis, and a sequel, X-Force Genesis 2, is scheduled, leaving open the possibility that Under Attack returns under the sequel's name.

Cube Games announced on October 6 that X-Force Under Attack will end sales on Steam on October 30. The vertical shooter launched for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in July 2023, then arrived gradually on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PS5. The Xbox and Switch versions ended distribution in October 2025, and the PS5 version followed in June. Purchases before the deadline remain downloadable and playable afterward.
Cube Games framed the Steam delisting as a franchise reorganization rather than an end. Alongside the October 30 cutoff for X-Force Under Attack, the developer says a major free update is planned for X-Force Genesis, the earlier entry released in August 2021, with gameplay improvements and preparations for a new franchise. A sequel, X-Force Genesis 2, is scheduled for release, and the announcement leaves open the possibility that Under Attack is reborn as that sequel after the story is revised. Under Attack had held a 100% positive user review status on Steam until the delisting notice prompted one negative review; it now stands at 96% positive across 31 reviews.
