The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in late 2026 is a broad merchandising and promotional operation anchored by the trading card game and the original manga's legacy. Konami has leaned heavily into original manga art as a collectible hook. The OCG Original Artwork Collection pack, revealed September 8 and on sale September 26, repackages cards from the original manga with new art like Enemy Controller and Aroma Tactics. A made-to-order Original Artwork Duel Set revives the earliest Structure Decks for Yugi, Jonouchi, and Kaiba with classic-style and manga-style cards. The same art focus drives the new ART EXPANSION label, which sells T-shirts and posters based on card illustrations.
The Kazuki Takahashi art exhibition, running December 12, 2026, to February 21, 2027, at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO, frames Takahashi as a game creator and storyteller across five chapters, with more than 370 manuscripts and color works. The exhibition also sells Egyptian God cards as display-only merchandise. The franchise's official site renewed on September 1 as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Site, broadening beyond card game news.
On the anime side, the Chronicles promotional short series added an Evil Twin three-episode anime for January 2027, following Sky Striker and Magistus themes and the currently streaming The Devil of Sin Treasure Hunting. Merchandise collaborations expanded across apparel and figures: Crocs launched its first Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters line in September with four clog designs and a CROCODILE card, Uniqlo's Shueisha 100th anniversary UT third wave included four Yu-Gi-Oh! T-shirt designs from August, and Re-Ment released petadoll and desktop figure sets. Master Duel surpassed 100 million downloads in August with a campaign. The 2026 World Championship in Tokyo concluded with Korea's Called By Army winning the Master Duel division and Japan's Taku winning Duel Links RUSH DUEL.
