Yoshimoto Kogyo is working in two formats at once: a Disney+ variety competition produced by Chidori's Daigo, and a Tokyo Game Show stage event built around the hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon.
Yoshimoto's most recent move is in games, not television. At Tokyo Game Show 2026 the G TUNE/NEXTGEAR booth hosted a September 20 stage event titled "[Yoshimoto] Noda Crystal Corps in Meccha Chameleon." Seven performers from the company took part: Noda Crystal, Yui P, R Fujimoto, and Gally Record Channel members Phoenix, Takai Keisuke, Ama no Miya Masaaki, and Taro. Shinichiro, a former Yoshimoto comedian, was MC. The matches used the hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon, and the NEXTGEAR TGS2026 exhibition commemorative model was introduced at the same booth.
The game show slot follows a streaming deal announced in June. Disney+ and Yoshimoto Kogyo are making 'THE ONE SHOT,' a variety show in which eight comedians selected by Chidori's Daigo each write, direct, and produce a short film with a single punchline. The winner becomes the first 'GOLDEN ONE SHOT' champion. All eight episodes stream from August 12. The participants have not been revealed.
Both stories put Yoshimoto talent in front of a format rather than a conventional stage or broadcast slot. One is a competition with an unrevealed cast; the other is a confirmed booth event with a named lineup and a hardware model attached. What the two have in common is the arrangement: Yoshimoto supplies the performers, and a partner (Disney+ for the streaming show, G TUNE/NEXTGEAR for the Tokyo Game Show stage) supplies the frame.
