Yoshiki Takaya, creator of Bio-Booster Armor Guyver, said in a message included with a Blu-ray release that he suffered a cerebral infarction and has partial paralysis. He apologized to fans, saying he does not believe he will ever be able to draw manga again.

The live-action series adaptation of Yamayade's boys' love manga Can You Kiss Me First? has revealed a new visual and eight additional cast members. The series stars Jin Suzuki as Ueno and Gaku Oshida as Kanda, and will debut on Fuji TV this fall. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for release in September.

The Pokémon Company and musician YOSHIKI have announced donations for relief efforts following the July 28 Kumamoto earthquake. Pokémon donated 100 million yen, while YOSHIKI gave 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society. YOSHIKI also donated to European wildfire relief and shared a message of support.

Max Factory is releasing a new figma of Guyver III from the manga 'Bio Booster Armor Guyver'. The figure, numbered 700, features all-new sculpts and molds under the supervision of original creator Yoshiki Takaya. It includes a High-Frequency Sword, Unit G, and crossed arms parts. Pre-orders are live on Amazon Japan at 13,800 yen, with a release date of April 30, 2027.

Crunchyroll will stream a remastered version of the X² - Double X OVA, a 28-minute music video compilation featuring four X Japan songs and CLAMP artwork, starting June 10. The OVA, co-produced by Madhouse, was originally released in 1993. X Japan leader Yoshiki discussed the project's significance in an interview with ANN.
