Yet Another Zombie Survivors Sets August 20 Full Release With New Content
Indie developer Awesome Games Studio announced that the early access action game Yet Another Zombie Survivors will leave early access and launch version 1.0 on August 20, 2026. The game entered early access in July 2023, nearly three years ago. The 1.0 release will add a new playable survivor named the Ranger, who uses a crossbow and commands multiple animals. A new status effect called Fear will act as a debuff. A new map called the Biolab, described as the experimental facility that caused the apocalypse, will be added. A reworked Boss Rush mode, where players must build up their forces before a boss appears after 10 minutes, will also be included. The studio confirmed the game's price will remain at 1,700 yen and will not increase with the full release. To celebrate the launch, the studio is giving away its 2017 predecessor Yet Another Zombie Defense HD for free on Steam from July 24 to July 30. That game is a top-down zombie shooter with tower defense elements, supporting single-player and local or online co-op for up to four players. It has over 2,500 reviews on Steam with a Very Positive rating.
