The Idea category takes concept posts on X, the DIY category builds on free white mock frames posted to TikTok, and the Maker category asks 3D designers to model compatible frames on MakerWorld. XREAL released the xbx a01+ AR glasses on July 6, 2026, priced at 43,980 yen including tax. The device is the first product under the company's new sub-brand xbx, which targets younger demographics. The glasses weigh approximately 62 grams, which the sources describe as among the lightest in the industry. They feature a detachable front frame that users can swap to change the appearance, and XREAL provides 3D CAD data for creating custom frames with a 3D printer. The display uses a SeeYa Micro OLED panel with Full HD resolution at 120Hz, a 50-degree field of view, and a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. The glasses support HDR10 and can convert SDR video to pseudo-HDR. They include built-in stereo speakers, image stabilization, and connect via USB Type-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The xbx a01+ lacks the XREAL X1 processor found in higher-end models, so it does not offer 2D-to-3D conversion or virtual ultra-wide display functions. It also has no built-in diopter adjustment; glasses users need contact lenses or a separately sold insert lens frame.
