Square Enix Releases Final Fantasy Resonance Final Trailer, Sets TGS 2026 Demo
Square Enix streamed the Tokyo Game Show trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance on September 17, 2026, and confirmed the theme song "Inside" by WurtS. The HD-2D game retells the first story arc of the discontinued smartphone title Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, following Rain and Lasswell as they pursue Veritas of the Dark after the Earth Crystal is shattered. Nobuhiko Okamoto voices Rain in Japanese and Clifford Chapin in English. The game launches October 22 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store on Windows, with the Steam version dated October 23. At Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe, the Square Enix booth offers a 15-minute demo with three options: NEW GAME from the start, Dungeon Conquest, and Arena, the latter two not present in the current trial version. Demo players receive a retro package-style box and a Final Fantasy Trading Card Game promo card featuring Fina.
