Wonderful Precure! now functions as one of the past-series lineups in the PreCure film franchise. The most recent stories cover the September 18 release of the film, whose opening three-day total was 440 million yen and more than 357,000 admissions. Stills from the film show Cure Wonderful, Cure Friendly, Cure Nyammy, and Cure Lillian appearing alongside Cure Idol, Cure Wink, and Cure KyunKyun from Kimi to Idol PreCure, with Satoru Toyama and Daifuku also appearing and transforming.
That film assembly was set up earlier in September. Two trailers released on September 13 presented the crossover from different angles. One, labeled Kimi to Idol and Wonderful, shows the two series' characters together and includes Komugi Inukai running ahead while dragging along Iroha Inukai, with the two series' characters speaking. The other trailer, This Is A Detective, follows the four Detective PreCure leads and includes Anna Akechi's line that they will not give up. Toei also announced that all three TV series will stream back to back on ABEMA starting September 18 at 19:00.
Before the film, Wonderful Precure! was one of the past works brought back for the anniversary streams. On the Toei Animation Museum Channel starting August 9, the Maho Girls PreCure! film ran as a free double feature with the first episode of Wonderful Precure!, with archives up for one week. Coverage of the series itself, rather than its crossovers, has otherwise gone quiet since the late ending theme for Meitantei Precure! was announced on August 7, naming Itsuka Wakaru Kitto Aeru by Akane Kumada and Yuka Masui for a September 30 single release.
