Bandai Namco Filmworks posted the archive of the Life-size Unicorn Gundam Statue Final Ceremony to the official Gundam Channel on YouTube. The August 29 event marked the end of the statue's display at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, which began in September 2017. Hiroyuki Sawano and SennaRin performed, and the statue remains on view through August 31.
Commemorative merchandise for the end of the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue display is now available from STRICT-G, the Gundam apparel brand. The statue, a fixture in Odaiba, Tokyo, since September 2017, will conclude its 8-year-11-month run on August 31, 2026. Finale events are underway, including a special video screening and a final ceremony scheduled for August 29. The new product lineup includes two photo T-shirt variants featuring the statue: a full-color version on a white body and a monochrome version on black, each priced at 5,830 yen. A "TWC FINAL" T-shirt with a red Unicorn Gundam silhouette and an embroidered sleeve mark also sells for 5,830 yen. A ceramic mug bearing the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam design and the statue's display period retails at 1,980 yen. A tenugui collaboration with Kyoto-based Kamawanu, featuring the Unicorn in Unicorn Mode with clouds in light blue or black, is priced at 2,750 yen. All items are produced by Bandai, with cotton apparel made in China or Vietnam and the tenugui in Japan. In-store sales begin August 29 at the STRICT-G Tokyo Odaiba store, with advance orders on Premium Bandai starting August 28 at 1:00 PM.
BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the productization of two new prize figures in the hololive IF series, which imagines various situations for Hololive members. The first colored prototypes of the figures were revealed on August 27, 2026, via the Banpresto Brand X account. The lineup pairs Houshou Marine with the Crossbone Gundam X1 and Usada Pekora with the Unicorn Gundam, both in a Nui Armor (Plush Armor) style. Despite the cute chibi proportions, the designs retain distinctive elements such as head decorations and costumes. Both prize figures are scheduled to appear in crane games nationwide in February 2027. The announcement came with the hashtag hololive IF and the Gundam collaboration tag, and the copyright notice lists both Sunrise and COVER. The figures are part of the Banpresto Brand, a label under BANDAI SPIRITS, and the reveal marks the first time colored prototypes have been shown for this collaboration.
Bandai announced commemorative goods for the end of the Life-Size Unicorn Gundam Statue display in Odaiba, which concludes on August 31. The main item is the Mega Size Model 1/48 Gundam Base Limited RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Ver.TWC FINAL, a Gunpla with special decoration by Hajime Katoki, priced at 14,300 yen. STRICT-G items including T-shirts, mugs, and tenugui towels are also planned.
The second entry in the Mobile Suit Gundam MS Mechanical Bust DX bust model series features the Unicorn Gundam Unit 2 Banshee. It includes two armor types reproducing Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, plus an internal mechanism with two Luminous Units. Available as capsule and boxed items, priced at 800 yen and 880 yen respectively, releasing in the 5th week of August 2026.
Bandai Namco Filmworks will run a special video, "UNICORN GUNDAM Statue - BEYOND POSSIBILITY -", at the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue in Odaiba from August 22 to August 31, the statue's final day of display. The 10-day finale event also includes related exhibitions, campaigns, and a scheduled lineup of nightly projections.
