Crunchyroll presented a new trailer and key visual for the Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized! anime at New York Comic Con on Thursday. LiSA sings the opening theme "Ecstatic Buffer," with TK writing lyrics and composing the music. The anime premieres January 4 on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11 and about 20 other channels. Netflix gets early streaming, before other services.
James Watkins, director of DC Studios' Clayface, said in a remote interview that the film's Gotham City was built with production designer James Price using real Liverpool streets rather than heavy VFX. Watkins described a corrupt city lit with tungsten and sodium-orange light by cinematographer Rob Hardy, with DC Easter eggs hidden in restaurant names, signage and facility names. Matt Hagen is played by Tom Rhys Harries. The film opens October 30.
Gotcha Gotcha Games opened the Steam store page for RPG Maker U2U on August 27, 2026, and began accepting wishlist registrations. The store page carries product information, first-time screenshots of the event editor and database screens, and the P2D introduction video shown in the initial announcement. The company also released the title's key visual, a completely new illustration by Namaniku ATK, who handles character design and illustration for the game. In addition to the store page opening, the developer announced a change in development direction. RPG Maker U2U will now release as a standalone product rather than a tool that runs on Unity. This means users will not need to install Unity separately or create a Unity ID. The Steam version will launch directly from the Steam library, similar to RPG Maker MV and RPG Maker MZ. The event creation and database editing interface draws on the controls and workflow of those two previous titles, aiming for an intuitive environment for both newcomers and series veterans. A producer letter with further details is scheduled for the same day via Steam News and the official RPG Maker U2U X account.
Creative director Chisato Kasahara, known for work on Ensemble Stars! and Helios Rising Heroes, has launched ILMATKA, a studio for character IP planning, worldbuilding, and creative direction. The studio will develop projects across games, stage, manga, and AI, aiming to create content that stays with audiences long-term.
