The Portopia Serial Murder Case Continues: Burial of Oblivion, with Yuji Horii as original creator and general director, arrives Thursday, March 4, 2027, on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The full remake of the 1983 mystery adventure adds five new investigation files set in 1980s Kobe. Packaged Switch editions include the 1985 Famicom version on the cartridge; download and Steam versions do not. Prices run from 4,800 to 9,878 yen.

Game Spark Plays Portopia Serial Murder Case Continued Demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 20, Game Spark played a demo of The Portopia Serial Murder Case Continued: Burial of Oblivion, a G-MODE title shown during the September 9 Nintendo Direct presentation. The demo follows a suicide case, lets the player question Yasuhiko Mano, and descends into a 3D basement dungeon. G-MODE's Koichi Takeshita discussed the project.
