The King of Fighters XV remains supported through balance patches and merchandise. SNK released a balance update for all 61 characters on July 2, 2026, and the game's cast continues to be the source for figures from Kotobukiya, Thousand, and X-PLUS.
The King of Fighters XV is in a late support phase. SNK released a balance adjustment update on July 2, 2026 covering all 61 characters, including base roster fighters and DLC additions, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. No new character or content announcement appears in the coverage; the game's roster is fixed at 61 and is being tuned rather than expanded.
The game also carries weight beyond the patch. The SNK World Championship 2026 Finals are set for November 27 to 29 in Stockholm as part of DreamHack Stockholm 2026, with a combined $4.2 million prize pool across five SNK fighting game titles, though KOF XV is not individually named among the five. Away from competition, KOF XV remains a merchandise source. Kotobukiya's 1/8 scale Nakoruru figure opened pre-orders in June 2026 with a July 21 cutoff and a December 2026 release at 22,000 yen, and a 360-degree AmiAmi video followed. Thousand's 1/7 scale Blue Mary figure, the third entry in the Fighting Girls Collection, opened pre-orders for a May 2027 release at 25,850 yen, with an AmiAmi limited edition smile face part. X-PLUS and ART STORM both displayed a KOF XV Shermie statue at Wonder Festival 2026 Summer on July 26.
