Kenji Tanigaki's action film 'The Furious' will be released in Japan in 2027 through distributor Showgate. The film stars Xie Miao as a father fighting a criminal organization to save his daughter, with co-stars including Joe Taslim, Brian Le, Jeeja Yanin, Yayan Ruhian, and Iwanaga Jo. Action direction is by Kensuke Sonomura, with music by Flying Lotus. The film won the Special Jury Prize at Sitges.
