TATSUJIN EXTREME Demo Launches Across All Platforms
THQ Nordic Japan and TATSUJIN Co., Ltd. released a demo for 'TATSUJIN EXTREME' on July 22, ahead of the full game's July 30 launch. The demo is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. This is a completely new entry in the series that continues the lineage of the classic arcade shooters 'TATSUJIN' (1988) and 'Tatsujin Oh'. The demo includes four modes: a tutorial for basic controls, a 'HEART STARTER' mode that removes game overs for beginners, a story mode that begins with a prologue comic drawn by former Toaplan designer and manga artist Junya Inoue, and a two-player cooperative mode. The story mode and co-op mode let players experience Episode 1's stage 'SUCCESSION'. A making-of video showing development footage and in-progress game screens was also released. On August 2, a trial event and autograph session with Inoue will be held at BEEP Akihabara store. The full game is scheduled for release on July 30, with standard editions priced at ¥4,950 for PS5 and ¥5,940 for Switch 2, and premium box editions at ¥19,800 and ¥20,790 respectively.
