TAO's work is distinct from the Thai cosplayer and VTuber enthusiast Taotan, who visited Manila in March 2026 as a guest at the 10th Cosplay Carnival. Taotan's visit highlighted cross-border fan culture between Thai and Filipino VTuber communities, with meet and greet sessions extending by an hour and a half to accommodate fans. Taotan cited hololive talents as inspirations and cosplayed characters from Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The two stories share no direct connection beyond the similar name.

Thai cosplayer and VTuber enthusiast Taotan received a warm reception during her visit to Manila as a guest at the 10th Cosplay Carnival on March 28-29. She told fans her reason for cosplaying is simple: "I love anime. I wanna be [a] chuunibyou." Her friends started cosplaying first, and she got curious. She now counts hololive talents as inspirations, saying they "give me a lot of power to like my job." Taotan also cosplayed characters from Umamusume: Pretty Derby, including Agnes Tachyon. Her meet and greet sessions, originally scheduled to end at 6:00 pm, extended by an hour and a half to accommodate the queue of fans. At the end of the day, a group of about 20 fans surprised her with a bouquet of flowers and sang the chorus of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." She later posted about the experience on Facebook.
