Detective Precure! is in its Cure Eclair arc, with the character's identity now revealed and an all members version of the opening video available on YouTube as of September 6.
The Cure Eclair arc anchored the summer. Toei Animation announced in June that four consecutive episodes starting June 21 would focus on candidates for the character, with the true identity held until episode 25 on July 19. A voting campaign ran alongside the episodes, and the character song is titled "I am a Mystery." The reveal itself landed on that July date, closing the show's central interactive mystery.
In August the franchise refreshed its presentation. A new ending theme, "Itsuka Wakaru ☆ Kitto Aeru," performed by Akane Kumada and Yuka Masui, arrived with character visuals that introduced Star Kiraring forms for Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, and Cure Arcana. A Future Form visual for Cure Answer accompanied the announcement, tying the update to the upcoming film.
Promotion for the film "Movie Detective Pretty Cure! The Mysterious Garden and the Two Secrets" continued through a ROUND1 collaboration. Original goods with new illustrations of Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, Cure Arcana Shadow, and others went on sale August 1 at four ROUND1 stores and online, with more items scheduled for September 7.
On September 6 Toei released a non-credit version of the new opening theme video on YouTube. Called the All Members Version, it adds Cure Eclair and Cure Arcana, both now part of the Curett Detective Agency, along with new scenes and battles against the Phantom Thieves. A character previously shown only from the legs is revealed, resolving a fan-speculated identity.
