Tank Fu Lets Tanks Punch, Throw, and Parry Enemy Fire in New Pre-Alpha Playtest
Knight Owl Games announced Tank Fu, a new action game for PC via Steam, on August 23. The game pits tanks against each other in hand-to-hand combat, with punches, throws, dashes, and aerial combos replacing conventional tank warfare. Players can also fire artillery from a distance, and the Steam store page cites Bayonetta and Hi-Fi RUSH as inspirations. A pre-alpha playtest is now available on the store page, featuring a four-area tutorial that teaches the game's martial arts and a five-minute arena mode where enemies spawn endlessly. Players earn points by chaining combos without interruption and compete on a global leaderboard. The developer commented on X that fans of Bayonetta, Hi-Fi RUSH, and Devil May Cry should try the game. The pre-alpha version is subject to change, and Knight Owl Games has not announced a release date.
