Sionic AI began selling an on-premises version of its enterprise AI agent building platform STORM Platform in Japan on September 1, 2026. The company previously offered the platform only as SaaS. The on-premises option targets enterprises with strict security policies, compliance requirements, or specific system environments, and follows Sionic AI's on-premises deployments at Korean financial institutions.
Team17 and Navegante unveiled Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms at the Future Games Show during gamescom 2026. The sequel to Greak: Memories of Azur sends siblings Greak and Adara to parallel worlds by an evil sorcerer. It supports local and online co-op, plus a single-player mode, and launches in 2027 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.
The October issue of Kadokawa's Shonen Ace magazine announced that Shiwasu Hoshikawa's Bungo Stray Dogs STORM BRINGER manga will go on a long-term hiatus due to Hoshikawa's health. The magazine will reveal when the manga will continue in a later issue.
Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite and Atomfall, announced during the XBOX @ gamescom Broadcast 2026 Day 1 on August 26, 2026 that its first-person sci-fi action horror game Alien Deathstorm will launch in spring 2027. The release window comes roughly six months after the title was first revealed. In the game, players take on the role of a Combat Engineer, a highly trained emergency response specialist sent to an off-world facility where communications have been lost. The player must explore a devastated alien colony overrun by dangerous creatures and uncover what happened while fighting for survival with various firearms and skills. The broadcast included new gameplay footage with commentary from Rebellion's Design Director Ben Fisher, depicting the player confronting waves of aliens inside a colony collapsing under a catastrophic mega-storm. Alien Deathstorm is set for release on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, and will be available on Game Pass Ultimate from day one. The game draws inspiration from an analog-leaning 1980s sci-fi aesthetic.
Stormind Games announced on August 18 that Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy, the final chapter in the Remothered trilogy, will launch on October 27. The game is a third-person survival horror title influenced by the Clock Tower series, set in a Sicilian convent where the legend of the Red Nun originated. Players control Susan, whose daughter has gone missing after six girls disappeared in Sicily; she follows a clue from an audio tape to the Ashmann family mansion on Mount Etna. The gameplay involves exploring the mansion, solving puzzles, and using hypnotic abilities such as retrocognition, mirror abilities, and moth control. Players must also hide from and evade terrifying pursuers, striking back at decisive moments. The Red Nun, a recurring monster in the series, reappears. Akira Yamaoka, known for his work on the Silent Hill series, composes the music. The game is scheduled for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com, as well as Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Japanese display planned. It follows Remothered: Tormented Fathers (2018) and Remothered: Broken Porcelain (2020), and can be enjoyed as a standalone despite concluding the trilogy.
Pugstorm revealed the full plan for the Core Keeper major update 'The Road to the Great Maw', which follows the January 28 release of 'Void and Current'. The update was originally one project but grew large enough to split into three versions: Ver.1.3 'Riders of the Underground', Ver.1.4 'Trials of the Abyss', and Ver.1.5 'Beyond the Rift'. The first two deepen existing systems, and the third is the final chapter.
DPVR announced that its PC-connected VR headset, the DPVR E4, has been adopted for TRIOTECH's location-based VR attraction STORM. STORM features two-player simultaneous play, motion seats, wind effects, and hand gesture controls. The E4's 4K display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 116-degree field of view support the immersive experience.
Confiction Labs and Agate released a new trailer for the co-op extraction shooter Riftstorm, which enters early access on Steam for PC on August 11 after about five years of development. The game features an extraction-lite design, five playable characters, and a partially Japanese-supported demo.
The Pokemon Card Game MEGA Expansion Pack Storm Emerald is now accepting invitation requests on Amazon Japan. The box contains 30 packs of five cards each, with 76 card types plus secret cards. Priced at 6,006 yen, it is sold by invitation only, and not all requests will be accepted.
