Shunsuke Takeuchi voices Hiryu Asakawa in episode 2 of the Psyren TV anime, airing October 12, and voiced Kenshiro as a Season 2 DLC character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, available since June 29.
Two roles define where Shunsuke Takeuchi stands in Yomimono's coverage. In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Takeuchi voices Kenshiro, the Fist of the North Star character SNK added as a Season 2 DLC fighter on June 29. The collaboration character arrives with fast, heavy strikes and pressure point attacks, and SNK confirmed Season 3 will begin in July 2026.
In the Psyren TV anime, Takeuchi voices Hiryu Asakawa. Scene photos for episode 2, titled "Forbidden Race [Tavoo]," show Hiryu among the gold-crazed players Ageha meets in the PSYREN world. The episode also covers Ageha and Amamiya's reunion and Amamiya collapsing from exhaustion; Hiryu is searching for his missing friend Tatsuo. The episode airs October 12.
The two roles are separate projects with nothing else in common in the stories. The Kenshiro announcement covers a fighting game collaboration and its post-launch release schedule. The Psyren item covers a broadcast episode and its cast. Takeuchi appears in both as a credited voice actor, and neither story says anything about his work beyond these two parts.
