Devolver Digital announced Serious Sam: The Third Encounter on October 22, a new main-series entry in the Croteam-developed FPS franchise, with a Steam store page and a teaser trailer now live. The game picks up the story immediately after the ending of Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, the 2002 title, and the announcement stresses that this is not a prequel in the manner of Serious Sam 3: BFE or Serious Sam 4. Sam Stone returns to fight through alien worlds, eerie fortresses, and wastelands, moving toward the army of his nemesis Mental. Combat is described as more intense than before, from defense against swarming enemies to an all-out assault on Mental's stronghold. The familiar minigun returns and new weapons are planned. Solo and co-op play are both supported. The game is in early development with no release date, and only PC via Steam has been announced as a platform.

Behaviour Interactive released Serious Sam: Shatterverse on September 1, 2026, for PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is priced at 2,600 yen including tax, with a 10 percent launch-week discount.
The game is a roguelite FPS set in the Serious Sam universe. Teams of up to five players fight through ever-changing universes, stacking boosts and run modifiers that alter the rules of each run. The story follows the Ubermental's scheme to shatter the walls between universes; Sams from different dimensions join forces to restore the Shatterverse and defeat five bosses who serve the series' recurring nemesis, Mental.
Each of the five playable characters is a Sam from a different dimension with distinct abilities. Players carry familiar series weapons alongside new armaments, and face returning enemies plus newly introduced monsters. An offline solo mode supports single-player runs. A Steam sale for the Serious Sam series is also running alongside the launch discount.

Devolver Digital announced on August 8, 2026 that Serious Sam: Shatterverse, developed by Behaviour Interactive, will launch on August 31 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
