Steam is running limited-time free play for Sea of Thieves: 2026 Edition, Last Flag, and Jump Space, all open until 2:00 AM on September 22. Sea of Thieves is Rare's pirate open-world game. Last Flag is Night Street Games' 5v5 capture-the-flag shooter. Jump Space is Keepsake Games' space co-op shooter, in early access since September 19, 2025, with support for 1 to 4 players.
A live-action film adaptation of Rare's pirate game Sea of Thieves is in production, with Destin Daniel Cretton producing through his company Hisako Films. The project is one of over 10 Xbox game adaptations in the pipeline, following the box office success of Minecraft: The Movie and the streaming performance of Fallout.
Rare's Sea of Thieves Season 20, titled Custom Seas, was announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 on June 8. The free update lets players host competitive multiplayer matches and use a free camera for screenshots. It arrives June 18 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
