Patlabor the Case Files Launches for PS5 and PC with Launch Discount
Good Smile Company released the 3D action game Patlabor the Case Files on September 17, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC version carries a 10 percent launch discount for 14 days. Development was handled by Chime, the studio behind Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness. Players work through missions as members of the Special Vehicles Division 2 and from the opposing side, piloting more than 20 Labors that include the AV-98 Ingram, the TYPE-J9 Griffon, the AV-X0 Zero, and the HAL-X10. A simulator mode offers shooting training and Labor-versus-Labor battles. Yutaka Izubuchi is credited as mechanical supervisor, Kazunori Ito as script supervisor, and Akemi Takada as character animation supervisor, with Kenji Kawai on the main theme. Story sections are fully voiced, and the game supports Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. Ingram Plus from Patlabor EZY is planned as DLC.
