R-Type DX Returns as a Game Boy Cartridge
Retro Bit and Limited Run Games announced on September 16 a cartridge release of R-Type DX, the 1999 package that combines the Game Boy versions of R-TYPE and R-TYPE II. It runs on Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and the GameCube's Game Boy Player, with reported issues on the Super Famicom's Super Game Boy. The Collector's Edition costs 7,200 yen or $44.99, ships in the first quarter of 2027, and a soundtrack CD and LP are also planned.
