Polygon Pictures is handling animation production on Maiden Blood, an original dark fantasy television anime announced by Pony Canyon for a 2027 debut. The studio is also one of five CG production companies scoring CG-ARTS' Animation Practical Skills Test 2026.
Polygon Pictures has one announced television project in the works: Maiden Blood, an original dark fantasy series set for a 2027 debut. Pony Canyon announced the show, with Seiji Kishi directing and Makoto Uezu overseeing series scripts. Polygon Pictures handles animation production. The main cast is Iori Saeki as Eva and Yukari Anzai as Epica, with original character designs by illustrator LAM. The story is set in a world where a war between good and evil was overturned and eight billion humans were sacrificed to an Evil God, and where human blood is currency, fuel, and a weapon. Music comes from Keiichi Okabe, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Taichi Joraku, with Pony Canyon producing and MONACA cooperating. International release details are still to come.
Separately, Polygon Pictures is one of five production companies that score submissions for CG-ARTS' Animation Practical Skills Test 2026, aimed at students who want to become CG animators. Anima, OLM Digital, Orange, Sanzigen, and Polygon Pictures return scores, advice comments, and national rankings to examinees. Institutional registration opens October 1, 2026, exam entries run from early November until November 30, and capacity is 500 on a first-come, first-served basis.
The two stories show the studio on both sides of the pipeline: producing an announced series and evaluating the students who want to work in CG animation. Neither story gives a release window for Maiden Blood beyond 2027, and neither states a broadcast or streaming outlet.

Pony Canyon announced on Friday that a new original television anime series, Maiden Blood, will debut in 2027. The dark fantasy action series is created by director Seiji Kishi, scriptwriter Makoto Uezu, and Pony Canyon, with Polygon Pictures handling animation production. Kishi directs the anime, and Uezu oversees series scripts. The original character designs are by illustrator LAM, known for Witch and Hound and takt op. Destiny. The main voice cast includes Iori Saeki as Eva and Yukari Anzai as Epica. The story is set in a world where the end-of-days war between good and evil was overturned, and eight billion humans were sacrificed to an Evil God. In this world, human blood is currency, fuel, and a weapon. Mages devised a forbidden ritual that transforms a girl's blood into a blade capable of destroying demons. The younger sister, Epica, is the strongest blood warrior, but her soul was stolen. The elder sister, Eva, cannot walk, yet only her blood can awaken Epica's power. Composers Keiichi Okabe, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Taichi Jōraku provide the music. Pony Canyon produces the music with cooperation from MONACA. International release details will be announced later.
