An Oxford University research team published a preprint on October 5 analyzing wildlife awareness among Planet Zoo players and non-players. The survey covered 545 people, 272 players and 273 non-players, aged 18 to 64. Planet Zoo players' average donation to animal conservation was about twice that of non-players. Play time and recent play status correlated positively with species knowledge and with favorable views of reptiles, a group the paper describes as generally less liked.
