The Switch 2 version of Pikmin 4 supports the console's built-in microphone, letting players issue commands to their Pikmin by voice. The release adds a new mode called Everyone's Challenge! Dandori Exam, in which players race to see how quickly they can carry treasure. The full title of the package is Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Everyone's Challenge! Dandori Exam, and it arrives on Thursday, November 12, 2026. Nintendo's official Japanese account teased the announcement with a question about testing planning skills, and the broadcast confirmed the game will appear on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform. The original Pikmin 4 launched on the original Switch in 2023, and this edition brings the strategy title to the newer hardware with the added voice command feature and the timed treasure-carrying challenge mode.
