A stage greeting with Tomoko Yamaguchi, Etsushi Toyokawa, and director Shunji Iwai will follow the September 26 screening of the Undo 4K remaster at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku. The event marks the double feature of Undo and PiCNiC. Trailers for both films and a comment video from Iwai were also released.
Solo developer Lapismine released the Dungeon Picnic demo on Steam on September 6. The party-building roguelike RPG has players pick four dot-pixel characters and combine randomly appearing skills and equipment across short runs. Combat is fast turn-based with a party-wide mana pool instead of per-character MP. Breaking an enemy's weakness grants an extra turn, more mana recovery, and lower costs. The demo covers the first area with four characters, and the game joins Steam Next Fest on October 19.
Shunji Iwai's 1994 film Undo, starring Tomoko Yamaguchi and Etsushi Toyokawa, will screen as a 4K remaster starting September 25 at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and other venues. It will be shown as a double feature with PiCNiC (1996), also in a 4K remaster. Iwai noted the remastering work was difficult due to the 16mm footage and experimental push and pull processing.
