Amazon Kindle has launched a large-scale sale offering up to 50% points back on select Kadokawa manga titles, running from July 7 through July 13 for the Kadokawa campaign and until July 23 for the Summer Super Point Fair. The promotion coincides with Amazon Prime Day and covers dozens of series, including Delicious in Dungeon, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, Nichijou, Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5: Mementos Mission, and Gunslinger Girl. For Delicious in Dungeon, all 14 volumes (excluding volume 10) are eligible; buying the full set costs 10,742 yen and yields 5,012 yen in points. The Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: Adventurer's Bible Complete Edition and Ryoko Kui's sketchbook Daydream Hour are also included. The Persona manga adaptations are similarly discounted: all 11 volumes of Persona 3 cost 6,897 yen with 3,454 points back, all 13 volumes of Persona 4 cost 8,173 yen with 4,092 points back, and all 3 volumes of Persona 5: Mementos Mission cost 2,057 yen with 1,029 points back. Atlus announced on July 4 that animation studio MAPPA will produce the anime cutscenes for the upcoming game Persona 4 Revival. The announcement was made via the official Persona public relations X account and the Atlus West account. MAPPA, known for Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, will handle all animation cutscenes for the title. Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Persona 4 Golden, retaining the original storyline while completely refreshing graphics, UI, and adding new elements to battles and events. Alongside the cutscene announcement, Atlus released an introduction video for the character Rise Kujikawa, which includes anime cuts of a swimsuit scene. Rise Kujikawa is a popular first-year high school idol who becomes a companion in the story. On social media, fans expressed excitement with comments such as 'Can we see the smooth-moving protagonist!?' and 'Too luxurious.' Persona 4 Revival is scheduled for release on February 18, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S, PC (Windows, Steam), and PS5. The standard edition is priced at 9,900 yen. A limited box edition with bonuses including a special binding box, art book, and DLC is also available.

Atlus announced on Saturday that Studio MAPPA will produce all of the animated cutscenes for Persona 4 Revival, the upcoming remake of the 2008 role-playing game. The news came during Anime Expo 2026 alongside two new character videos featuring the protagonist and Rise Kujikawa. Atlus also confirmed that Abby Trott will voice Rise in the English dub, part of a new English voice cast for the game. The remake is set to launch on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC with Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are open now. The original Persona 4 was released for PlayStation 2 in 2008 and later received an enhanced port, Persona 4 Golden, for PlayStation Vita in 2011. The new version is described as a distinct reimagining separate from Golden. The animation director reportedly played Persona 1 through Persona 4 before beginning work on the cutscenes. Persona 3 Reload, the previous Atlus remake, launched in February 2024 and featured animation from a different studio.

The Persona 5 Special Big Band Concert, held June 30 at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall, reprised its 2025 performance with a larger venue, evolved arrangements, and songs from Persona 5: The Phantom X. Conductor Charlie Rosen, whose "Last Surprise" cover earned a Grammy nomination in 2024, led the big band. The setlist included "Ambitions and Visions" from P5X and tracks from the game's "Third Semester." Lyn returned as vocalist.

Kotobukiya announced a wide range of new figure prototypes and color samples at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on July 2. The company revealed supervising prototypes for "Super Kaguya-hime!" figures of Kaguya, Tsukimi Yachiyo, and Sayori Sakayori, as well as a prototype for "Magic Knight Rayearth" Hikaru Shidou. Under the OSHI WORKS line, prototypes were shown for "Attack on Titan The Final Season" characters Mikasa, Armin, Levi, and Sasha. The new OSHI WORKS Mini brand debuted with color samples of "The Apothecary Diaries" Maomao and "TRIGUN STARGAZE" Vash the Stampede and Nicholas D. Wolfwood. For game-related figures, Kotobukiya showed the first color sample of a 1/4 scale "Goddess of Victory: NIKKE" Anis figure. OSHI WORKS Mini color samples were also displayed for "Persona 3 Reload" and "Persona 5 The Royal" protagonists, plus prototypes for "Trails" series characters Estelle Bright and Joshua Bright, and SNK characters Mai Shiranui, Angel, and Kula Diamond. Netflix is developing a live-action television series based on Atlus and Sega's Persona video game franchise, according to a report from Variety. The project has Christopher Monfette attached as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Monfette's credits include the final two seasons of Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys, and 9-1-1. The series will be produced by 21 Laps Entertainment, the company behind Stranger Things, and Story Kitchen, the production outfit founded by Sonic the Hedgehog film producer Dmitri M. Johnson. Sega's Toru Nakahara, who produced the Sonic movie series, will also serve as an executive producer. Additional executive producers include Shawn Levy, Robert Atwood, Dan Levine, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson. Variety's report did not specify whether the adaptation will follow the story of a specific Persona game. The Persona franchise, which launched in 1996 as a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei series, has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The franchise includes six numbered titles and multiple spin-off games. Netflix declined to comment on the report. The series would join Netflix's growing catalog of video game adaptations, which includes The Witcher, Arcane, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Sega announced the Ver.4.4 update and 1st anniversary campaign for Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) on June 24, 2026.
