OM SYSTEM PEN Announced with Electronic Viewfinder, Dust and Drip Resistance
OM Digital Solutions announced the OM SYSTEM PEN, the first camera in the PEN series to carry the OM SYSTEM brand name. The mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera is scheduled for release in late October 2026 and is the first PEN model with dust and drip resistance, rated IPX1 when paired with a compatible lens. It keeps the rangefinder-style design of earlier PEN cameras and adds an electronic viewfinder. The camera pairs the TruePic IX image processing engine with a roughly 20.37 million pixel Live MOS sensor and a 5-axis in-body stabilization system rated up to 5.5 stops at the center. It includes Color and Monochrome Profile Control presets that mimic film looks, plus Computational Photography functions such as handheld high-res shots, live ND, focus stacking, HDR, and multiple exposure. Autofocus covers 121 all-cross phase detection points with AI subject recognition for people, dogs, and cats. OM Digital Solutions also opened a launch campaign running from September 9 to November 5, 2026, offering buyers of the body, the 14-42mm lens kit, or the double zoom kit a choice between an ARTISAN&ARTIST leather strap or a digital gift card worth up to 10,000 yen.
