Aniplex released the first character promotional video for Fate/EXTRA Record on September 12, 2026, during the Aniplex One Focus livestream. The video centers on Archer, one of the Servant candidates who can form a contract with the protagonist, voiced by Junichi Suwabe. Archer is a warrior who wields a variety of weapons and specializes in combat using indirect attacks and throwing. The game is a full remake of Fate/EXTRA, which Marvelous Entertainment and Type-Moon released for the PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2010. Development is handled by Meteorise, with planning by Notes. The scenario and graphics have been expanded, and battles use a deck-building command card battle system. Fate/EXTRA Record is scheduled to launch on January 28, 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The standard edition costs 8,910 yen including tax in packaged and download versions.
