The action film NORMAL, starring Bob Odenkirk, is confirmed for a December 11 release in Japan, with a trailer and poster released alongside the announcement. Derek Kolstad wrote the script and Ben Wheatley directed. Odenkirk plays Ulysses, a temporary sheriff in a rural town who learns a secret about the town after a bank robbery and is attacked by all 1,890 townspeople. Henry Winkler, Lena Headey, and Brendan Fletcher also star.
Solo developer Luke Muscat announced on August 12 that his physics-based golf simulation game Normal Golf Game will launch on PC via Steam on September 21. The game, which Muscat describes as a "normal" golf game, puts players in the role of an amnesiac golfer forced to pay a $100,000 entry fee to compete in a mysterious tournament. Players control the club with a mouse, adjusting swing strength, stance, aim direction, club face angle, and trajectory. The game features optional challenges called Bounties, such as destroying three watermelons with a shot or landing the ball on a distant green. The demo, released on May 27, has earned a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, with 97% of 330 user reviews praising its satisfying shots and quick retry system. Muscat, known for his work on Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, is developing the game solo, with marketing support from Future Friends Games. The full version will include over 100 Bounties, multiple clubs with distinct physics, a nine-hole course, and difficulty levels beyond Nightmare, including Diabolical and Impossible.

Manga Up! Global released Haru Ogawa's Venus in December on Thursday and Kiri Wazawa's Paranormal Agent Adashino on Friday. Venus in December is a completed two-volume BL series about an illustrator and a novelist. Paranormal Agent Adashino, a supernatural action manga, finished at three volumes. Wazawa also created The Morose Mononokean.
Luke Muscat, co-creator of Fruit Ninja, has released a Steam demo for his new game Normal Golf Game. The game places players in a strange golf course where they must play golf to escape, using mouse-controlled swings. The demo includes a tutorial and missions like destroying signs. A full release is planned for PC.
