Steins;Gate Re:Boot Builds a New Ending From a 2010 Drama CD
Anime News Network interviewed producer Tatsuya Matsubara and scenario writer Naotaka Hayashi about Steins;Gate Re:Boot. Matsubara says the remake exists to modernize the original game ahead of new text adventure projects, with all assets rebuilt from scratch. The ending draws on the 2010 drama CD Hyde of the Dark Dimension, which Hayashi wrote after players asked for a Moeka ending, and returns the series to a traditional text-adventure format.
